Updates as of 11:30 am on Friday: ALL WEEKEND EVENTS CANCELLED . . . NO TOURNAMENTS, NO PRACTICES. NEXT WRESTLING EVENT WILL BE PRACTICE AT 8AM MONDAY! SEE YOU THERE! BRING RUNNING SHOES AND WRESTLING GEAR.
Update as of 4pm Thursday: School is cancelled for Friday.
As of now we are anticipating that we will be able to still go to the Liberty Tourrnament on Saturday. That said, here are some details to consider:
1. There will be a 2 pound weight allowance added to every weight class (example: 106 --> 108)
2. With all the weather, it should increase the chance there will be room in the brackets to fit our extra wrestlers . . . so if you want to travel with the team and we can get you in the bracket please consider coming.
3. Any last minute changes will be posted on this website as needed. We plan to open the doors at 5:15 am. I will post on the website by 4:45 am if there is a last second cancellation (or earlier if we learn sooner).

School cancelled Thursday. No practice/or matches. Stay tuned for updates mid-day Thursday.
IMPORTANT CHANGES TO WEEK 5: With the weather/cancellations/change of plans and all the rescheduling that goes withit . . . please know that this website will be our primary means of communication. Anytime something changes, we will provide updates on here as soon as we know. Please check this daily for the next several days, and certainly check the website if there are school changes. Here are some throughts to consider for the next future days:
1) If we have school, all plans proceed as listed below on the original schedule.
2) If school is cancelled Thursday, we MAY wrestle Friday . . . be ready to check the website later in the day Thursday for specific details.
3) Saturday's tournament. In the event there are changes to the tournament, it will be posted as soon as we find out. Be ready to check the website Friday night at 9:00 pm and Saturday morning at 4:45 am for any last second changes.
We appologize for the confusion but one thing we will work hard to protect is our chance to wrestle when we have the chance. That is how we will make our wrestlers better! Please be flexible and do your best to include yourself in the changes. As always, if a wrestler is having a hard time meeting the changes in schedules, please email Coach Ebbs so we can make appropriate adjustments to our line ups.
Summary from last week: We strive to accomplish a few things for all of our wrestlers in the hopes of helping them grow and make the most of their development opportunities.
1. We try to create many opportunities for ALL our kids to wrestle.
2. We try to teach as much technique as possible before the holiday break to prepare our wrestlers for competition and safety.
3. Provide the time and resources so our student-athletes have the best grades possible before we leave for break.
With those goals in mind, our team is doing very well. There are a few requests we have of parents and athletes alike.
- Wrestlers are expected to be at practice/events daily. Unexcused absences create problems in practice, matches and accountability for goals. Contact must be made with Coach Ebbs face to face or by email so we are aware of all our athletes. Preparing for the holidays, please glance at the calendar and plan accordingly for practices. Parents, please email Coach Ebbs regarding any absences due to family vacations/activities that will interfere.
- Planning for the weeks ahead should mean EVERYONE is reading through the website. We have struggled recently with a lot of, "I didn't know" or "I forgot" type of statements. Please make a point, as a family, to work through the weekly schedules and include Coach Ebbs on the conflicts so we can all plan ahead for special circumstances.
- Wrestling is a sport that can be learned by anyone of any shape, size, body type, or athletic ability. In order to accomplish this, however, it requires time, effort and focus. You will be proud of the growth in your son/daughter if you support them in this goal. Please keep up the good work! Hold yourself to a high standard! Don't look for excuses, instead, push yourself towards challenges daily! This will have the best outcome for you as a wrestler, student, and athlete!
- Study table plans: 1) check your student view before Monday. 2) Make contact with all your teachers during the day on Monday to identify assignments to be done/tests to be re-taken/study groups to attend/future tests coming soon. 3) MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR AFTER SCHOOL WITH THAT TEACHER DURING CLASS SO YOU CAN FIND THEM AND THEY ARE READY! 4) Come prepared with all materials so you can 'complete work' and not just 'get work'.
