Player evaluations at Youth Fields on Saturday, March 3
Players are required to attend player evaluations if you play in any competitive league. Baseball will be held at 9:00am and softball will be at 12:00. Signs will be posted as to what field you will need to report to. Bring your glove and be prepared to hit, throw and run during evaluations. NOTE: THE ONLY LEAGUES NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND ARE THE TEE BALL AND BASEBALL COACH PITCH. These leagues keep no score or standings. Once the evaluations are over, the players will be able to leave and the coaches along with Recreation staff will select teams. You should receive a phone call from your coach by Monday night, March 5. OPENING DAY WILL BE ON SATURDAY, MARCH 24. Team and individual pictures will also be taken on this day.
ONLINE REGISTRATION NOW AVAILABLE
You can now register for athletics or adult programs online. Go to www.monckscornersc.gov and click Recreation at top of page. You will then click youth athletics and you will then be able to see the portal instructions on top right hand side. Any questions or problems, call Town Hall at 843-719-7900.
We are now offering Adult classes in arts and crafts. Click Recreation and then click Programs to view all the classes being offered. You may still register at Town Hall located at 118 Carolina Avenue.

If you know someone or a business who would like to advertise on the outfield fence, the fee is only $250 for the first year and $150 renewal each year after for as long as the sign lasts. 2018 Sports Programs/Camps - League Rules - Policies
In effort to better inform participants and parents, we have offered the opportunity to view our Athletic sports program registration information and rules and regulations for our athletic programs. Click Handouts under Main Menu then click appropriate section to view. You may view rulebooks for the Dixie baseball/softball leagues by going to Dixie.org and print out appropriate rule book. Updates to rules/policies will be made prior to season beginning in each sport.

Mandatory CPR & AED training for ALL volunteer coaches
All volunteer coaches (head coaches and all assistants) who would like to coach in the Moncks Corner Recreation Department youth sports program MUST be certified in Cardio Pulmonary Rescusitation (CPR) & Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). The class will last approximately 2 hours. This is mandatory before you can coach, so please register now!! All fees are being paid for the Moncks Corner Recreation coaches. To sign up for the class, send an email to Matt Still at email@example.com. Matt Still, Athletic Director, will coordinate date/time/place for the training. If you are already certified, you will need to show your certification card. All other coaches in the area are welcome but must pay the $5.00 per coach fee. NOTE: Please sign up with Matt Still in advance so he can schedule you. The class will be held at the Moncks Corner Fire Department on Saturdays.
IF NOT USING RAINEDOUT.COM, the Moncks Corner Recreation Department has a Weather Hotline that Coaches, Parents, Players, Fans, etc. can call to check for any weather cancellations. This Hotline is updated daily, after 4:00 PM. If there are clouds in the area, be safe and call. There have been several examples of no rainfall in town, but heavy rainfall at the Youth Field Complex. The number is 843-719-7919. Other Department Hotline numbers after 4:00pm, are as follows:
