Job openings for Moncks Corner Recreation Department

Maintenance technician full time position with benefits. Salary is $11.89/hour. Duties to include but not limited to cutting grass, weed eating, maintaining athletic fields and any other duties deemed necessary. Person must be able to lift 50 pounds. Experience with small engine repairs a plus. Some nights and weekends required. Individual must possess a valid SC drivers license. Call Ralph Jones at 843-719-7916 if interested.

Special Events Coordinator  part time position with no benefits. Works out of Depot with salary of $12.98 per hour. Works mostly Monday-Wednesday-Friday from 9:00am - 3:00pm. Go to to view these two positions.  

Tee Ball/Baseball/Softball late registration on SPACE AVAILABLE only

will be held at Moncks Corner Town Hall from 8:00am until 5:00pm. If you live within the Town limits of Moncks Corner, your registration fee is $40. If you live outside Town limits, you will pay $80. Practices will begin the week of March 9 with Opening Day being Saturday, April 4. You need the following to register: copy of child's birth certificate if not on file, proof of residence and proof of insurance on child. WE offer playground insurance for a nominal fee. Any questions, call Town Hall at 843-719-7900. NOTE: If a parent is not honest in where the child resides, your child may be removed from the program.

Baseball/Softball umpires needed

Moncks Corner Recreation Department is looking for umpires for the upcoming 2015 season. We will have our own officials association directed by Jerry Burbage. We are seeking individuals who will be dedicated to learning the rule books and league rules and regulations. Some experience would be helpful. 2015 Sports Programs/Events/Camps - League Rules - Policies

In an effort to better inform participants and parents, we have offered the opportunity to view our Athletic sports program registration information and rules and regulations for our athletic programs. Click Handouts under Main Menu then click appropriate section to view. You may view rulebooks for the Dixie baseball/softball leagues by going to and print out appropriate rule book. Updates to rules/policies will be made prior to season beginning in each sport.

Game schedules

While we make every effort not to make mistakes on this website with schedules, we ask everyone to go by the game schedules given out by the Moncks Corner Recreation Department to the coaches and not depend solely on the website. If anyone recognizes a conflict, please call Matt Still at 719-7921 so it can be corrected.

Mandatory CPR & AED training for ALL volunteer coaches

All volunteer coaches (head coaches and all assistants) who would like to coach in the Moncks Corner Recreation Department youth sports program MUST be certified in Cardio Pulmonary Rescusitation (CPR) &  Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). The class will last approximately 2 hours. This is mandatory before you can coach, so please register now!! All fees are being paid for the Moncks Corner Recreation coaches. To sign up for the class, send an email to Matt Still at Matt Still, Athletic Director, will coordinate date/time/place for the training. If you are already certified, you will need to show your certification card. All other coaches in the area are welcome but must pay the $5.00 per coach fee. NOTE:   Please sign up with Matt Still in advance so he can schedule you. The class will be held at the Moncks Corner Fire Department on Saturdays.

Depot Rental

Looking for a place to have a graduation party, baby shower, birthday/anniversary celebration? Call the Depot on Monday-Wednesday-Friday from 9am - 3pm at 899-4708 or Moncks Corner Town Hall on Monday through Friday at 719-7900. Rates are by the hour or full day.  

Weather Hotlines

IF NOT USING RAINEDOUT.COM, the Moncks Corner Recreation Department has a Weather Hotline that Coaches, Parents, Players, Fans, etc. can call to check for any weather cancellations. This Hotline is updated daily, after 4:00 PM. If there are clouds in the area, be safe and call. There have been several examples of no rainfall in town, but heavy rainfall at the Youth Field Complex. The number is 843-719-7919. Other Department Hotline numbers after 4:00pm, are as follows:

Severe weather warning system
