South Penn League Accepts MMSPBL All-Star Challenge
Friday June 24th 2011, the MMSPBL All-Stars squared off against the South Penn League All-Stars under the lights at Littlestown Memorial Field in Littlestown, PA. The South Penn League played host in this third annual 9 inning All-Star game. The contest was played under Major League Baseball rules with only the exceptions set forth in the host organizations rules and bylaws.

The MMSPBL All-Stars won this matchup for the first time in it's 3 year existence by a final score of 8-3. Timely hitting all around and dominant pitching from start to finish was the story in this game. Buchholz started the game on the hill for the MMSPBL team, and threw 2 scoreless innings not to be outdone by Bova, Dobbs, Johnson, Georgious and Casey Klein who shut down their opponents as well.

Jimmy Smith went yard at an estimated 410 feet, and Thurmont Titans standout Matt Angell... the game's MVP, belted a 3-run shot in the third inning to lift the MMSPBL to the point of no return. Brandon Roebuck and Brad Rifkin also put on impressive hitting displays by spraying the baseball all over the field... leaving MMSPBL managers and players alike looking forward to this event in 2012.
