Mira Mesa Youth Baseball is located in San Diego CA. MMYB provides a safe atmosphere while teaching the game of baseball to boys and girls, ages 4-17, in Mira Mesa and other communities surrounding Black Mountain in San Diego.

MMYB By Laws Meeting
November 30, 2011 – 06:30 PM —
The Annual By Laws Meeting for Mira Mesa Youth Baseball will be held at 6:30pm November 30, 2011 at the Hourglass Field House, Room 305. The Hourglass Field House is the building across the walkway from the gymnasium shared by Miramar College and San Diego Park & Rec. The address is 10440 Black Mountain Road, San Diego, CA 92126.

As part of our run-up to our 40th year in Mira Mesa, I have solicited letters from parents about their experience with Mira Mesa Youth Baseball. Here is one. To see more, see our Bulletin Board
My 11 year old son has been playing baseball year-round since age 6, and he loves baseball more than any other activity. But he only started playing in MMYB under Coach Jim Lafferty a few months ago. Because MMYB is "real baseball" including pick-offs, leads and steals with an increased intensity level, my son has developed his baseball skills more in the last few months than at any time in the past 5 years.
Coach Jim brings the perfect blend of competitive, disciplined, baseball development, while still allowing the boys to have fun. Besides the great coaching, there are many other great aspects of MMYB and the Mira Mesa Storm. I noticed from the first week, that the boys on his team had an immediate chemistry and all of the players treated each other like long time friends, even though some of them had just met. Its great that all of the families have participated in the team, including social activities off the field to help the boys get to know each other better. The Mira Mesa Storm is a true TEAM. I really hope our team continues beyond the current season.
