Bat Demo Day

Our friends at All Pro Baseball Academy are hosting a bat demo day Sunday 11/19.

Here are the details for Sunday…
The demo day is for one hour only (11am-12pm) All sizes and models of DeMarini, Louisville, and Easton bats will be available to demo. This includes Youth baseball, High School and Softball. This is a free event, open to the public, no purchase necessary.
Discounts are:
25% off Easton MAP
20% off DeMarini MAP
20% off Louisville MAP
MAP is the Minimum Advertised Price US dealers can advertise. For example, on JustBats.com or DicksSportingGoods.com, the prices listed are MAP prices. For events like this, the manufacturers allow us to advertise a lower price.
We will have the entire facility open to demo bats. HitTrax will also be set up so players can see differences in exit velocity and performance.
The Easton Ghost X Retails for $349.95 while the Easton Beast X retails for $199.95. With the discount, the Ghost X would cost $265 and the Beast X $150. Even though the Ghost X is Easton's top of the line model this year, we have seen the Beast X perform better with Exit Velocity on the Hit Trax simulator.
We do not require full payment on Sunday, only a $50 deposit. The remaining balance will be due when bats ship (usually 7-10 business days).

NEW LITTLE LEAGUE BAT STANDERDS

We wanted to bring to your attention new bat rules that are being instituted by Little League.  This is not by Monroe Township Little League, but the national corporation.  The below is directly from the Little League website.

Effective on January 1, 2018, Little League Baseball® will adhere to the new USABat standard. No bats previously approved for use in Little League Play (Junior League Baseball and below) will be permitted to be used in any Little League game or practice, or other Little League function, event, or activity. For more information on the USABat standard and a complete list of bats approved through the USABat Standard, visit usabat.com.

What this means for our players is that you will need to buy a new bat for next season.  Coaches, umpires, and MTLL board members will be required to remove from play any bat that does not meet the new standard.  We understand the hardship that this may cause, because bats are expensive.  MTLL will be purchasing new bats for SOME divisions.

SPONSORS

MTLL is always looking for Team Sponsors. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor please take a few minutes and click here to be directed to our Sponsorship letter and form. Print out the sponsorship form and return it to us as soon as possible. Thank you

MANDATORY COMMUNITY BACKGROUND CHECKS

Monroe Township has instituted a community wide mandatory background check for all coaches of all sports. Anyone that is planning to coach a youth sport must obtain the necessary paperwork from the town stating that they have passed the background check. The forms are now available from the Parks & Recs Dept. at the Pfeiffer Community Center during normal business hours. This is necessary for Fall and Spring Ball or you will not be able to coach. If you have any questions please contact the Parks & Recs dept.

Attention all Coaches and parent Volunteers

Little League requires all Coaches and parent Volunteers to fill out a volunteer form used for a background check. This form must be filled out and returned to us before any parent is allowed to work with a team in any capacity. Please fill out the form and either hand deliver at one of our registrations or email with a copy of your driver’s license. For a pdf copy of the volunteer form please click here.

We now have a Facebook Page

Please click here to be directed to our Facebook page and "like us". This is the best way to keep up to date with all of the latest info, field closings & up coming events.

ATTENTION ALL PARENTS

It has been brought to our attention that people are parking illegally at the Church St., Duffy and Owens Fields. This is an issue for emergency vehicles entering the facilities. Parking is to be in designated spaces only. The Police will be issuing tickets to those not parked properly. Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.
