Recreational Cheerleading Competition



Tryouts and clinic has now been combined into one day instead of three. This will take place on Thursday, May 26th from 6-8 at the address listed below. With the end of school approaching and schedules changing, we decided one day should be fine. Hope to see everyone there!! WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING REGISTRATION FORMS FOR TRYOUTS UNTIL THURSDAY AT 4:00 p.m.!!!


MYA McDonough Twisters Recreational Competition Cheerleading, formerly MYA Recreation Football Cheerleading is open to ages 6-14 for those who want the excitement of competing at real competitions but who don't want to spend hours or days in a gym!!! We offer an affordable alternative to All-Star cheerleading. The base cost is $225.00 and that includes the uniform, shoes, bow and warm-ups. 

Tryouts will be on May 26, 2016, beginning at 6:30 p.m. We will host a clinic on May 23rd and May 25th at 6:30 p.m. at 205 Laurel Trace, McDonough 30253. The fee for tryouts is $10.00. This will cover the cost of the facility and donations to any outside help we get to help out! Tryouts are closed to all parents!! You will drop off your cheerleader at 6:00 p.m. and return to pick them up at 8:00 p.m. each day. Last day to turn in registration forms for tryouts will be May 22, 2016, at 9:00 p.m. NO FORMS OR ADDITIONS WILL BE MADE ON THE DAY OF TRYOUTS UNLESS OTHERWISE COMMUNICATED TO THE BOARD. We will compete in a minimum of 3 competitions with our first one beginning in October and the last one in November. Most competitions are on a Sunday. Your coach will have more information as the competitions get closer.

Practices will be at the discretion of your coach. ALL PRACTICES ARE CLOSED!!!  We will try to host an exhibition before our first competition for family and friends. 

Fundraising will be done as an individual team and will be decided by your coach. Sponsorship is also welcomed to help cover the cost of banquet, trophies and any other goodies your team wants to do for the cheerleaders.
