North Babylon 11, Smithtown East 4: Nick Galoppe's 3-run homerun and Nick Von Ohlen's 2-run homerun highlighted an eight run 2nd inning for North Babylon.  Von Ohlen went 3-for-3 with two home runs and four RBIs to lead North Babylon (10-5) in the second game of a doubleheader in League III.  Joe Baker was 2-for-3 and pitched a complete game for the win.  Nick Tannacore, Mike Pellicano and Mike Aprano all collected their first varsity hits in the win.

North Babylon 10, Smithtown East 5: Ryan Guthrie's two-run single in the 3rd inning tied the score at 5 and Doug Drew's sacrifice fly gave the Bulldogs the lead.  Mike Amandola went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs to lead North Babylon (9-5), which erased a 5-0 deficit in the third inning, in the first game of a doubleheader in League III. Kenny Fils-Aime was 2-for-2 with a solo homerun, double and two hit by pitches and scored 3 runs.

North Babylon 5, Smithtown East 4: The Bulldogs were down to their final out trailing 4-3 when Galoppe topped a ground ball down the line and reached on the infoeld single.  Nick Von Ohlen running on the play scored all the way from first on the throwing error.  Pinch runner Andrew Rosa scored from second base on a throwing error for the go-ahead run to lead North Babylon (8-5) in League III. Danny Hausmann went 3-for-3 and Nick Galoppe was 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.  Patrick McCabe pitched two and a third innings of relief and gave up one hit and one unearned run for the win.  Joe Baker pitched a scoreless bottom of the seventh for the save.

North Babylon 10, Bay Shore 2: Nick Galoppe hit a three-run home run in the third inning that put North Babylon (7-5) ahead 5-0 and added a two-run home run in the fourth.  Galoppe finished with 2-for-3 a walk, two homeruns, three runs scored and five RBIs.  Nick Von Ohlen allowed seven hits, two runs and struck out six in a complete game in League III.  Von Ohlen also had a multi-hit game with a RBI.  Danny Hausmann was 3-for-4 in the game.

North Babylon 8, Bay Shore 7: Doug Drew's two-out RBI single plated Nick Galoppe with the winning run in North Babylon's (6-4) walk-off win in League III. Drew's RBI single capped a six-run seventh. One batter earlier, Steven Burke delivered a two-run single to tie the score at seven. Dean Cicciari ignited the comeback with a two-run homer to make it 7-4 in the seventh.  Galoppe was 1-for-2 with a homerun, 2 walks, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored.  Mike Amandola was 2-for-4 with a double, single and a run scored.  Steven Burke picked up the win in relief for his first varsity win.

Fils-Aime hit a two-run double in the fourth to put North Babylon ahead 2-1 and drove in his team's third run in the sixth with an RBI single. Nick Von Ohlen struck out six, allowed one earned run and scattered five hits. Nick Galoppe was 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored and a stolen base.

North Babylon 20, Centereach 9: Dean Cicciari was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the fifth inning to put North Babylon (4-3) up 8-7 in the fifth. Doug Drew had tied the game with an RBI single earlier in the inning. Pat McCabe got his first varisity win with four innings in relief, allowing thee hits and two runs and Mike Amandola went 6-for-6 with five RBIs and a run as North Babylon rallied from down 7-0 in League III.  Drew, Amandola, Cicciari, Kenny Fils-Aime, Nick Von Ohlen, Nick Galoppe and Joe Baker all had multi-hit games for the Bulldogs.  Amandola's six hits marks the first time a North Babylon player has had six hits in a game since records were kept beginning in 2000.

Ryan Guthrie was 1-for-2 with a double, walk and run scored on a Kevin Baietto single in the 4th inning.  Nick Von Ohlen went 2-for-3 with an RBI double for North Babylon (3-3) in League III.

Ryan Guthrie went 4-for-4 with three runs, an RBI and a stolen base. Danny Hausmann's RBI single drove in Von Ohlen and gave the Bulldogs a 3-2 lead in as part of an 8-run 5th inning.  Senior Dean Cicciari’s 2-run single and senior Joe Baker’s straight steal of home plate highlighted the inning.  Junior Ryan Guthrie was 4-for-4 with 3 runs scored, a RBI and 2 stolen bases.  Congratulations to senior Kevin Baietto, junior Joe Forde, and sophomore Steven Burke who all collected their first varsity hits in yesterday’s game!

      North Babylon 17, Newfield 15: Kenny Fils-Aime hit a two-out, three run homer, his second of the game, in the top of the seventh to tie the game at 14 and Mike Amandola singled in Dean Cicciari from second base two batters later to put North Babylon (2-1) ahead in League III. North Babylon was down 8-0 after the first inning and 14-10 to kick off the seventh, but hit four homers to claw back. Senior Neil Berger pitched 2 1/3 innings to get his first varsity win. Mike Aprano retired the last batter of the game to record the save.  Six Bulldogs had mutli-hit games highlighted by Dean Cicciari 3-for 5 with 2 doubles and 3 runs scored.  Kenny Fils-Aime was 2-for-4 with 2 HRs and 4 RBIs and 3 run scored, Ryan Guthrie was 2-for-4 with a double and 3 RBIs, Mike Amnadola was 2-for-4 with a double, sacrifice fly and 2 RBIs and Nick Von Ohlen was 2-for-4 with a homerun, 2 runs scored and 4 RBIs.

      North Babylon 11, Newfield 0: Mike Amandola, Nick Galoppe and Kenny Fils-Aime each hit home runs in a four-run second inning and Danny Hausmann pitched 5-2/3 and struck out 10 for his first varsity win to lead North Babylon (1-1) in League III, Hausmann carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning.  Dean Cicciari was 2-for-4 with a double, 2 runs scored and 3 RBIs, Mike Amandola was 2-for-3 with the homerun, a run scored and 3 RBIs. 

      A special congratulations in the first week Ryan Guthrie and Doug Drew each collected their first varisty hits!

      Kenny Fils-Aime Commits to Dowling College!

      Kenny Fils-Aime, Class of 2014, has committed to Dowling College to play baseball beginning next fall.  Kenny is a three year player at North Babylon and is a returning starting outfielder for 2014 Bulldogs!  Kenny is among Blue Chip Prospects players to watch for the Class of 2014! Kenny finished the 2013 campaign with an All-League selection after a standout junior season as the Bulldogs leadoff hitter.  Kenny had a  .443 batting average and was at the top of the team leaders in all offensive categories including runs scored with 26 (1st on team), hits with 31 (tied for 1st on team), stolen bases with 8 (1st on team), 1.126 OPS (1st on team), .512 OBP (1st on team) 11 extra base hits (1st on team) and a .614 slugging pct. (3rd on team).  Kenny had a base hit in all but one game last season and had nine multi-hit games.  Kenny continued his hot hitting into the summer season in the wood bat Boys of Summer League, playing for the Bulldogs Baseball Club the last two summers.  His efforts earned him a spot at Citifield to represent the Bulldogs in the All-Star game in late August.
