Just a reminder that we have our last two practices this Tuesday and Thursday.  On Friday we will play at Edison at 6pm for the 2/3/4 graders, 7pm for 5/6 graders, and 8pm for 7/8 graders.  Field is located at 340 Central Avenue, Edison. Please arrive a half hour prior to the start of the game.

Robbinsville Shootout:
I have attached the schedule for Saturday and a Map of the field areas.   We will set up a North Brunswick tent area at the corner of Field 3 and the First Aid tent.  Please bring foldable chairs and a tent if you so desire.  The 2/3/4 are scheduled for 2 games while the 5/6, 7/8 are scheduled for 4 games each.  It is going to be a long day so please bring plenty of food, and water.  We have been able to purchase food in the past, but it is better to be safe than sorry.  Please let the coaches know your availability for this weekend.  It is important for us to see if we will have enough players to make it through the day.  If you have any questions, please see coach Tim at practice on Tuesday or Thursday.

NBR LAX club at the RU vs Ohio LAX game. RU wins in OT to beat #4 Ohio! Great game!

I have the tickets for those of you that gave me money. We will be there around 11 am for the noon game. We can all meet at Gate "B" and I will give you your tickets. If anyone else would still like to go to the game, you can purchase tickets at the game.
Best place to park if you have never gone to a RU event is the Scarlet Lot (off Sutphen Road), which is closest to the stadium has plenty of parking for a LAX game. If you arrive at the gate and I'm not there, just give me a call on my cellphone (found in email). It's going to be a great day for a LAX Game!! See you there...

Now that the season is in full swing I would like to set up the snack tent like we did last year. I am asking for donations of items from the parents to sell at the tent during home games. The money made goes right to the end of season team picnic. Any items leftover I pass out to the kids at tournaments or we use for the end of season picnic. Items like individual chip bags, pretzels, waters, small Gatorade, cookies and candy or anything along those lines would be wonderful. Please drop your donation off to Coach Tim at practice. Hopefully we get enough it ems to set up the tent at our next home game. Your donation is much appreciated and please feel free to text the person mentioned in the email if you have any questions..

Sorry for the many emails and posts today. This should be the last one. For tomorrow's home game versus Allentown, the time for the 7/8 game has been moved to 10 AM. So below is a summary of all the craziness that has gone on today:

Tonight's game (4/7/2017) at East Windsor has been cancelled due to poor field conditions.

Tomorrow's 5/6 game (4/8/2017) has been cancelled because Allentown cannot field a complete 5/6 team.

Tomorrow's 2/3/4 game (4/8/2017) at home is at 9 AM

Tomorrow's 7/8 game (4/8/2017) at home is now 10 AM

Any 6th grader interested in playing in tomorrow's 7/8 game, is more than welcome.

We are scheduling a trip to see the Rutgers men's lacrosse team (ranked #10) play Ohio State (ranked #6) on April 29th at 12:00 PM at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway. Tickets are $5.00 each. If you are interested, please see Sean Gaither at any of the games or practices coming up. The deadline to get Sean your payment is April 15th.

Our first 3 games have been confirmed and are listed below. Have your child arrive 30 minutes prior to game time and check in with their coach. Parents, families, coaches and friends will receive a flat discount of 20% off your entire purchase on the event day.  So this includes all lacrosse equipment as well as anything else they purchase in the store (some exclusions will apply). First practice is scheduled Thursday March 2 2017 at Sabella Park from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.The first game is tentatively scheduled for March 25th 2017.

The location for the LAX parents meeting is being changed to the North Brunswick Township Municipal Complex at 710 Hermann Road, North Brunswick.  The meeting will be held in the court room and will begin at 6:00 PM.

The admins have scheduled a meeting to discuss the upcoming 2017 spring season and everyone is invited. On Friday, Jan 27th 6 PM at the East Franklin Volunteer Fire Dept located at 121 Pine Grove Avenue, Somerset NJ 08873. Below are some of the topics that will be discussed:

We have just been informed that the company doing our spirit wear is having a 10% price increase effective 1/19. They have given me a coupon code to use to offset the increase in our orders. Please use the coupon code which was sent in the email blast. The coupon is valid 1/19-2/15

Our league admins would like to offer up a meeting with all the parents to discuss the future of the NBR LAX league. 2 possible dates are January 27th or January 29th. The location is TBD but it would be somewhere local to North Brunswick. Sean is asking that people email him directly if they can or cannot attend and what date would be better for them. Please email Sean directly.

Please know that the Thursday night winter sessions will not be held. We will only be keeping the Tuesday night session. Also, if you have any questions regarding equipment or uniforms, please contact Sean.

The lacrosse season is about to start. This year we are using a different vendor for spirit wear and almost all of our items are Under Armour, so quality will not be an issue. The store is all online and you can shop, customize and purchase. Items are shipped right to you. The store will be open for purchases 1/16/17 and will close 2/6/17.  Items should arrive the week of 3/6/17. We will reopen the store for a second run the beginning of March for two weeks but keep in mind those orders will not be received before our first game.  The store is up and available for you to view and pick what you may like. The only item we suggest purchasing for the players is the white shooter shirt to wear under their uniforms. The webpage calls the shooter shirt a "Locker" tee. We've been informed that you need to register with North Brunswick Rec for this Winter session. Please use the link below to register for this session. It will be required to also send in a photo so the town can create a photo ID for your child. It's a $10 fee. The program codes needed on the registration form can be found in the PDF file that went out with the email.
