What Are the Characteristics of GEMS?

Gemstones or GEMS (also called precious or semi-precious stones, or jewels) are pieces of mineral that, when cut and polished, are used to make jewelry.  Rarity is one characteristic that lends value to GEMS. Apart from jewelry, early in the 19th century; engraved GEMS and hard stone carvings were major luxury art formsGEMS are minerals that have been chosen for their beauty, value, and durability.

So what are the NC LADY GEMS?  A rarity of talented, durable, valuable, and beautifully spirited young ladies shining as luxurious jewelry for all to see.
