It's time for the 4th Annual SUMMER SCRAMBLE 2014 GOLF TOURNEY:  Friday, August 1 at 1:00pm, Blue Heron Golf Course

 

We need your help!! In order for us to afford a quality boys basketball program, fund-raising events such as the Summer Scramble are vital to our success.  The annual Summer Scramble is the largest financial contributor to our boys basketball program, and is an easy and fun way for your family and relatives to support us as well as the NHS football and baseball programs.  It's also a great opportunity come meet the coaches and other parents in the program in a relaxed atmosphere.  Each player/family is required to participate (contribute) in one (or a combination) of the following ways.   Our goal is to have each player/family contribute roughly $250 dollars to the cause.  You can:

 

- Sponsor at least 2 PLAYERS (at $135 each), better yet a FOURSOME

 

- Procure 1 SPONSOR (for between $250 to $1000 - there are 4 sponsorship levels, including NEW $10,000 hole-in-one sponsors - see the flyer for details

 

- Procure a straight donation (of any amount)

 

- Procure RAFFLE items (trips, vacations, etc) with retail values of at least $250 - these can be donations from businesses/retailers/restaurants, individuals, etc - be creative but make sure it's something you'd like to win or buy at auction.

 

You have the option to choose which method you feel most comfortable doing, however families of all players from each program are expected to participate.

 

For folks new to the program or event, the money which folks are being asked to contribute is significantly less than what is paid for select/club teams in these sports.  There are 161 kids between the 3 programs, and if we can meet the required $250 contribution per player, we would expect to be able to distribute over $25,000 between the 3 programs - exceeding last year's distribution of $19,000 (which was the highest yet).  As each of our program leaders know, these funds make a HUGE difference throughout the year. 

 

So come on out, see the new venue with their brand new clubhouse (it's the old Carnation Golf Course, but you will not recognize it at all - as someone who played there for 20 years, I can certify that!).  We will have our own private deck overlooking the course.  Sample the food from their new kitchen.  Enjoy the camaraderie of old and new friends on the upgraded course (now under new ownership).   Come on out and meet the other parents and coaches (maybe even some players) involved with these programs.  All while helping provide "fuel" for these programs!  Please help us build upon what last year's co-chairs/committee have started and make this a fun and valuable event for NHS major sports!
