Here's a note from the coaches:
Since everyone has been swimming so hard the past week, we didn't want to force anyone into a specific workout group for the entire season after only a week's worth of practice. We thought it would be best to have some red/gold transition groups. This way the transition groups get an opportunity to swim during both workouts throughout the season.
The four workout groups are Red, Red/Gold #1, Red/Gold #2 and Gold. The Red/Gold groups will alternate their assigned practice times each week.
. Red Group will practice 3:30 – 5:30 PM M-F
. Gold Group will practice 7:30 – 9:00 PM M-Th and 3:30 -5:30 on Friday
. Red/Gold Group #1 will practice with the red group the following weeks, 8/31, 9/14, 9/28, 10/12, 10/26 and the gold group 9/7, 9/21, 10,5, 10/19
. Red/Gold Group #2 will practice with the gold group the following weeks 8/31, 9/14, 9/28, 10/12, 10/26 and the red group 9/7, 9/21, 10,5, 10/19.
Mark and I will continually evaluate swimmers in all groups throughout the season. So you may be moved from one group to another as we see you improve or as we see that you are not able to keep up with the other swimmers in you group. Please let me know if you have any questions about the group to which you have been assigned.
Any swimmer may attend the optional morning practice times from 5 AM – 6:30 AM (the 240 bus can take you to school. It stops in front of the pool between 6:50 and 6:55 AM)
See you all Monday, Eric and Mark
