C-Sr New Richmond Heat
WT Ducks Falls 19-6 at the Hands of Heat
Heat pounded WT Ducks on Saturday 19-6 at WT in five innings.
Heat scored seven runs in the fourth on a walk by Alex Waters, a bases loaded walk by Kylan Burnes, a passed ball, a three-run double by Gary Thrasher, and an RBI single by Jacob Duncan. Connor Grant racked up five RBIs on three hits for Heat. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the fifth inning.
Burnes recorded the win for Heat even though he allowed six runs over five innings. Burnes struck out eight, walked one and gave up eight hits. Heat hammered WT Ducks pitching as eight hitters had a field day, combining for 13 hits, 17 RBIs and 19 runs scored.

Field Clean-Up Day Incredible!
NRKA held its' field clean-up day this past Saturday, March 27, and it was a rousing success. This very important event to get the season going in the right direction saw 15 of the 17 NRKA teams represented, and represented well. At last Tuesday's Village Council Mtg, NRKA and Village Council agreed to a five-year lease that will allow the organization to invest more in the ballfields that sit next to IGA, and what a great way to begin that reinvestment than with the unprecedented turn-out last Saturday. In an email to Glenn, the Board, and all of the Coaches, longtime Screaming Eagles Head Coach Kevin Mues said, "In the 7 years that I've been involved with NRKA that was the most people ever at a field clean-up. That says alot about the group of people you now have involved in knothole." That sums it up rather well.
