BASKETBALL REGISTRATION 2009 - LAST CHANCE
Basketball Registration Night is over. We had a great turn out with alot of new players this year at every level. Thanks to all of the volunteer coaches, I will be contacting you soon to arrange a coaches meeting.
We are finalizing teams this week and the schedule will be complete in roughly 2 weeks.
If you missed sign ups and still need to register, please contact Michael Kessler with your information immediately at mkess23@comcast.net or call (603) 580-2088. As long as I have the basic information we will still have time prior to the season start to get the paperwork completed.

NYAA is now part of the Seacoast Basketball Association (SBA)
The NYAA has teamed up with Stratham, Brentwood, East Kingston, Greenland & North Hampton to form the SBA. Stay tuned for more news from the SBA.
BASKETBALL COACHES CLINIC

If you are interested in coaching this year or just thinking about it , there is a Youth Coaches Clinic at Exeter High School on Saturday November 7th at 8:30am. 2009 Soccer Season
The NYAA Soccer season will begin on September 12th this year.
There are the following divisions based on grade level:
Pre Kindergarten& Kindergarten (Pre-K/K):
This coed age group plays first on Saturday mornings at the NYAA
fields behind Newfields Elementary School from 9:00 -10:00 and doesn’t usually practice during the week.
First and Second Graders (1/2):
This coed age group plays second on Saturday mornings at the NYAA fields from 10:15 -11:15 and will usually practice once during the week after school.
Third and Fourth Graders (3/4):
This age group represents Newfields with a boys team and a girls team in travel leagues that play Saturdays and practice after school once a week. Schedule TBA.
Soccer Registration
There are two forms needed to register: the 2009 registration form and the NYAA consent form. To get the forms, go to the “handouts” section of this website and print them out.
Fill out the registration and consent forms and mail them to the NYAA (address on registration sheet) with a check made out to NYAA.
Registration forms need to be mailed in by August 31st so that teams can be made and coaches can practice before the 6-week season begins on September 12th.

5th and 6th grade soccer
There have been a couple of inquiries about 5th and 6th grade teams and I wanted to clarify the situation. 5/6 was an option for sign-ups last year but we received only one registration in this age group for girls and none for boys. The one girl ended up playing on a Stratham team, and we fielded no Newfields 5/6 teams. Because of this, this age group was not included in the 2009 registration options. If, however, you have a player in this age group interested in playing, email me at jloosmann@comcast.net. I would be surprised if we had enough Newfields players to field teams, but perhaps we can get a Newfields contingent of players on a Stratham team this year.

Sponsors
Sponsors who wish to support the league may sponsor a field sign for the coming season. The vinyl signs are 3'x5' and are available in many different colors. Signs are displayed on the outfield fence all season long and in the fall they are then displayed along the soccer field, on the newly installed fence that rins the length of the field.
The cost of the signs are $300 for one year or $250/year for two years. In addition, you'll be listed as an official sponsor on our website.
