OMFL EXECUTIVE MEETING - July 18
THE OMFL'S NEXT SCHEDULED EXECUTIVE MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE MISSISSAUGA VALLEYS CC, 1275 MISSISSAUGA VALLEY RD. WE WILL BE REVIEWING THE SPRING AND SUMMER SEASON AND ALSO FINALIZING TEAM ENTRIES FOR THE FALL PROGRAM.
3 DOWN FOOTBALL FOR 2012 AT THE VARSITY LEVEL
The OMFL will be adopting a 3 down format for the 2012 season at the varsity level. League President Dan Ralph has been quoted as saying "this is part of the OMFL's ongoing efforts to support and prepare its players for the next step in their football careers. Our varsity level players will be competing in senior high school and later in the CIS and we owe it to them to make sure they understand the intricacies of 3 down football. It is a completely different style of game and we think this will make the transition easier."
FALL PROGRAM COMING TO THE OMFL - 2012 SEASON
The OMFL will be offering its first ever fall program for the 2012 season. We feel that offering a fall program will enhance the value of the OMFL to our members going forward. We are sensitive to the needs of our member clubs and are confident that we can put on a solid program at the Tyke, Atom and Peewee levels to help them get more players on the field.
