All members are encouraged and invited to attend. Planned topics are: Budget Presentation, Proposed Bylaw Changes, and Election of Board Members.
What you should know about the Board: Imagine a softball experience for the girls with few coaches, no uniforms, unsafe fields, umpires who show up late, no scorekeepers or snackbar workers....this is what it would be like with no volunteers. To keep our program of 400+ girls running, your help is necessary. The jobs can be fun if you make them, you'll get to meet families in the community, and you'll set a good example for our children by showing the importance of community service and volunteering.
Given that most girls in our league will be at the fields for an average of 100 hours, it should not be difficult to understand the amount of work necessary. Board Members, Managers, and Coaches often volunteer over 150+ hours of their time per season. The average volunteer job is a small fraction of that commitment. The reward for all volunteers is not only helping to build a better community based program, but watching the girls enjoy the experience of participating in a first rate youth softball program, the largest on the Central Coast!
If you would like to volunteer to donate your time to any of the positions that are or will become available, please read the description of each office which may be found in our Bylaws under "handouts". Contact any current board member if you have questions!
