 MARCH 4 - 5 - OPENING DAY/BOB BOSTON TOURNAMENT.  PT - DIV. 3 will have games on both Sat. and Sun.  Tball will only play on Saturday!

ALL MANAGERS AND COACHES ARE REQUIRED TO FILL OUT AND TURN IN THE BACKGROUND CONSENT FORM AND ALL COACH PAPERWORK BEFORE MARCH 1, 2017.  IF YOU PLAN ON HELPING COACH, ON THE FIELD OR AT PRACTICE, YOU MUST FILL OUT THE COACH PAPERWORK AND HAVE A BACKGROUND CHECK PERFORMED.  PLEASE PROTECT OUR LEAGUE AND FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK IF YOU ARE EVEN CONSIDERING HELPING.  IF YOU DO HELP WITH A TEAM AT A GAME OR PRACTICE AND HAVE NOT HAD A BACKGROUND CHECK DONE, YOUR TEAM WILL RECEIVE A FORFEIT.

ABSOLUTELY NO PAPERWORK WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE IMPOSED ASA DEADLINE OF MARCH 1, 2017.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!  LAST CHANCE TO TURN IN COACH PAPERWORK IS:  TEAM PARENT MEETING ON FEB. 15, 2017 @ 6:30pm Ralph Dunlap Cafeteria. 

DOWNLOAD THE COACH PACKET AND FILL OUT COMPLETELY.  PAPERWORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNLESS YOU HAVE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING (WE WILL NOT BE TAKING INCOMPLETE PAPERWORK):

1. Cash or check for $25.00 made out to OYSA (Team Manager will receive 2 vouchers for the manager background check and one assistant coach which is paid for by OYSA).

2.  Coach Packet - Background Consent Form, Code of Conduct Form and Volunteer Form.

3.  Copy of your driver's license and a profile picture - It needs to be picture without a hat or sunglasses.  The picture can be texted to 598-7575 (include your name) or email to kerrivoysa@hotmail.com

NEW THIS SEASON:  MANAGER AND ONE COACH ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE THE ONLINE CONCUSSION TRAINING.  THIS IS A FREE TRAINING.  PLEASE PRINT OUT CERTIFICATE WHEN COMPLETED AND TURN A COPY IN TO A BOARD MEMBER AT ONE OF THE MEETING DATES LISTED ABOVE!

UMPIRES NEEDED! ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BECOMING AN USA Softball REGISTERED UMPIRE?

 The umpire clinic will be held at OYSA fields on Sunday, Feb. 19th from 10am- 1pm. RAIN OR SHINE.  MEET IN ROOM 20 ON CAMPUS!  There are 2 levels of registration - "YR" and "UR".

"YR" registered umpires are eligible to work only youth league play - not tournaments, and the 2017 fee is $30.00 for those umpires 17 years and younger and $45.00 for those 18 years and older.  All "YR" umpires 18 years and older will be background checked.

"UR" registered umpires are eligible to work any level including tournaments, and the fee for the 2017 season is $70.00.  All "UR" umpires will be background checked.

If you do choose to attend the Umpire Clinic, be sure to bring a copy of your Driver's License or California ID card with you.  Also, make sure to bring the appropriate fee with you to the clinic.  Cash or check made out to CCASA only please.  If anyone 17 and under attends, a parent must be there to sign the Code of Conduct form.

Please keep in mind that registration and/or training at any level does not guarantee umpire work/assignments.  Umpires are "Independent Contractors". 

Without UMPIRES there are no games!  This is a great opportunity to get involved and make some extra money!  High school students are encouraged to attend the training!!
