Pascagoula Dixie Youth will be hosting an invitational T-Ball tournament starting either Friday July 14 or Saturday July 14 depending on how many teams signup. This is NOT an Allstar tournamement. Any local league team may participate. There are no tournament fees, but there will be admission fees for team supporters.

Deadline to sign up with Pascagoula DY is June 28, 2012. Anyone that is interested in participating, please contact me at mike.fulce@gmail.com. Due to the limited time to signup and time for teams to practice with new rules, I ask that any Coaches interested to please contact me by June 8.

Board member applications can be picked up at the concession stands

We seem to be going through an inordinate amount of baseballs each night.

Baseballs do wear out and we give homerun balls to the players. However, we are not getting many balls returned each night, worn or otherwise. So it seems a lot of foul balls are not being returned to the field or concessions. Foul balls are property of the ball park and are not free to keep.

Please help us keep our costs down by returning foul game balls to the umpires or to the concession stands. Kids can get a free fountain drink or a piece of candy for helping us out.

The game schedules for all teams are available now under the Schedules menu item on the left.

To get a list of just your team's schedule, after selecting Schedules on the left, Choose the division in the drop down box. Then choose the team in the drop down box. 

New Feature this year: You can now download your teams schedule to a calendar file (*.ics) and import it into your calendar program, ie: Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar. After selecting your team, click the Download Schedule (ical) to download an ics file.

Also, See the Calendar menu button on the left for a list of ALL games by day.

A new feature we have this year is to be able to send text messages to people who signup.  We can't add your number, you have to OPT-In by entering your phone number and verifying it.
 
In the event of bad weather and internet availability, we will send out a text alert to everyone that has signed up.

Dixie Softball

Babe Ruth rulebook not available online.

It is very important for each player to have his/her own equipment and to use his/her own equipment.

Parent provides

• Shoes.
  For Dixie Youth and Dixie Softball, only rubber baseball cleats may be used.
  For Babe Ruth, rubber or metal cleats may be used.
• Bat
  For T-ball, bats labeled T-ball may be used.
  For Dixie Youth ages 7-12, bat must be approved by Dixie Youth. It should state that it is approved for Dixie youth on the bat. (Ages 7-12 may not use a bat labeled T-ball)
  For Babe Ruth, bat must be on BR approved bat list. Bat must have a 2 5/8 inch barrel. Bats from Dixie Youth may not be used.
  For Dixie Softball, bat must be approved for Dixie Softball.
• Glove
• Helmet with face mask and chin strap.
• Game pants
• Game socks
• Game belt

Note: Game pants/socks/belts should be purchased after team colors are chosen.


PYS provides
• Game Jersey (must be tucked into pants)
• Game Cap for Dixie Youth/Babe Ruth and a Visor for Dixie Softball.
• NEW! PYS WILL NOT provide Catcher's equipment this year

Please do not bring your pets to the ball park.

If you bring your pet within the ball park grounds, you will be asked to leave.
