16 - 18 Year olds! If you are interested in participating in a Babe Ruth 16-18 year old league, please fill out this interest form. If enough players/coaches are interested we may form a new 16-17 year old league.

COACHES - 2012 Player lists under handouts on the left. Notice: Changes have been made to the lists. Lists that have changed will have a change date or no change on the links. So if you downloaded a list prior to 8:45pm, Feb 14, check to see if your list shows a changed date. If it has "no change", then the list you have will be up to date.

PYS Policy on requests for player placement:

• All siblings will be put on the same team unless otherwise specified.
• Team Sponsors may request their sponsorship go with a specific child or coach.
• Requests to put non-siblings on the same team or on a specific team CANNOT be guaranteed. It will be up to the coaches to agree to this during the draft.

• Girls must play softball. In previous years, 4&5 year old girls have been allowed to play T-ball because we did not have a 4&5 year old softball league. Last year, a "Sweeties" league was added for the girls.
• PYS will no longer provide catchers gear for teams. Due to the loss of catchers gear over the last 2 years, and the great expense it would be purchase more gear again this year, the PYS board voted to no longer provide catchers gear for teams. It will be the responsibility of Coaches and/or parents to provide catchers gear for their team/players.
• Dixie Youth 2012 Adopted Policy & Rule Changes

Dixie Softball

Babe Ruth rulebook not available online.

It is very important for each player to have his/her own equipment and to use his/her own equipment.

Parent provides

• Shoes.
  For Dixie Youth and Dixie Softball, only rubber baseball cleats may be used.
  For Babe Ruth, rubber or metal cleats may be used.
• Bat
  For T-ball, bats labeled T-ball may be used.
  For Dixie Youth ages 7-12, bat must be approved by Dixie Youth. It should state that it is approved for Dixie youth on the bat. (Ages 7-12 may not use a bat labeled T-ball)
  For Babe Ruth, bat must be on BR approved bat list. Bat must have a 2 5/8 inch barrel. Bats from Dixie Youth may not be used.
  For Dixie Softball, bat must be approved for Dixie Softball.
• Glove
• Helmet with face mask and chin strap.
• Game pants
• Game socks
• Game belt

Note: Game pants/socks/belts should be purchased after team colors are chosen.


PYS provides
• Game Jersey (must be tucked into pants)
• Game Cap for Dixie Youth/Babe Ruth and a Visor for Dixie Softball.
• NEW! PYS WILL NOT provide Catcher's equipment this year

Please do not bring your pets to the ball park.

If you bring your pet within the ball park grounds, you will be asked to leave.
