13-15 Dixie Girls and Dixie Boys

Girls:

In previous years we have had to combine our 11-15 yr old girls in order to have enough teams to play and our girls 7-8's and 9-10's numbers were so low they were left all playing the same team or two all year.  We as a board have met in Oak Grove with other leagues such as Sumrall, Petal, Oak Grove (they will be playing Dixie Girls as of this year). These leagues are in the same shape for number of teams as we are and we will be setting up a schedule to play teams from some of these leagues during the season, most likely in Oak Grove (central location for all leagues). As of right now we are waiting on the total number of kids registered in every age group and we will get with them for scheduling some games against these other leagues teams with every age group (no T-Ball, they make enough teams to play at home). The more teams we have, the less you will have to travel, (one team travel quite a bit, two or more teams travel less). We believe this will be best for our girls and beneficial to all leagues involved.

Remember the last day to register is Feb 2! WE NEED YOU REGISTERED BY THEN! These numbers are what we make our teams from and we will have to have these numbers for scheduling.  We want to make this as fun and competitive as possible for all girls, parents and coaches involved.

We are still working out the details but are working on a basic set of local rules with the other leagues so that we are all playing on the same page when our girls meet.  This is a work in progress and will have all the final details worked out in the coaches meeting for the Girls. Please bear with us and check back here for any updates.

We will be taking registrations for 16-18yr olds this year and allow them to play with the 13-15 yr olds to prevent having to combine the 11-15 yr olds (girls only). We will have two separate age groups for the girls 11-12 and 13-18 yr olds.

Boys:

Boys will be separate 13-15 teams and 16-18 yr old teams. If we have enough to make a team in 16-18 yr olds they will travel to play. (More details coming soon)
