The Puget Sound Lancers Junior Football & Cheer

No practice Friday,  September 1st.

2017 season schedule is posted on the league website under schedule.

Practice is cancelled for  all Wednesdays in the remainder for the remainder of the season, due to field availability. Starting September 4th practice will be Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays 5:30-7:30.

Please see handouts for NW JR Football League's jamboree schedule and code of conducts.

All football players must be registered through the league website by Friday August 11th, in order to be certified and play in the jamboree.

Attention 2017 PSL families: as you know we have joined a new league this year and in doing so we have just recently found out that they have a different registration process than what we are used to. Attached is the instructions/ video that we need ALL parents to follow in order to ensure your child is registered appropriately with the league. We need to have everyone completed by August 9th at the latest to avoid delays in certification. If the players are not registered ...through this process they will not be able to play in the Jamboree or any games until it is completed. This is a one time upload and future years will not require the uploads, since they will already have been certified.

If you are returning player we can help get you a copy of the birth certificate electronically to upload to your registration, along with anyone who has already turned the birth certificate and/or grade verification in. You will also need to take a picture of your child to upload for the roster. Please see Natasha or Malae at practice for any help you may need in following these steps.

After registering you can download the SI play (sports illustrated) app which helps you have direct contact with the league, franchise, coaches along with access to all schedules, updates, communications and standings. The app appears to be a great asset for us this year as we know most people have access to their smart phone all the time, although we understand the setup is going to be a small hassel at first. We are here to help you if you need it.

Please make sure when choosing the team you are choosing Puget Sound Lancers. There is a small error in the setup (which club are you paying for) where Puget Sound Lancers are not listed, we have asked the league to get it corrected and should be corrected shortly.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has/will cause and appreciate your understanding and help in getting our rosters uploaded and certified as the league requires.

Please watch the video below to help you register for the league.

The Puget Sound Lancers are a youth football and cheer organization. 2017 we will be practicing at a park in Burien, Washington. We serve young athletes in ages 6 to 13 or 14 if 8th grade.  We start practice the middle/end of July. (2017 start date is 7/17/17)  Our practice times are tentatively M-F from 5:30-7:30pm, until the first game in August and then we will go to 3 days a week (days of week TBD).  There may be a slight change to the practice schedule dependent on the park schedule once the season starts in the middle of August.

Players will be issued and may wear their equipment after 6 hours of practice on the field.  PSL will have approximately 6-8 games with an estimated 3-4 home games.  Our home game location is still TBD. PSL is a franchise within the NW Premier League and will travel to other franchise's home fields within the league.

Welcome to the home of the Puget Sound Lancers Jr. Football & Cheer Organization. The Puget Sound Lancers, also known as PSL, is in its fourth season as a non- profit 501 c (3) sports program for young athletes 1st-8th grades. This program is based out of Burien & the surrounding areas. PSL is a youth organization that is dedicated to providing a safe and fun experience for boys and girls. We will provide your youth the opportunity to play in an organized and supervised environment, while teaching them the fundamentals of football and cheerleading. We strive to inspire them to practice great sportsmanship and increase their level of physical fitness. We strongly believe that youth sports can enhance self-esteem and deter children from going in the wrong direction. The Puget Sound Lancers will be serving approximately 110 youth in the upcoming season.

As a newer organization, we are seeking assistance to be able to pay for the cost of league fees, uniforms, insurance, and safe equipment for the kids. We are a nonprofit 501c (3) organization and we will are accept any and all donations to assist with our budget gaps. Thank you in advance for helping PSL in serving the youth of today. If you or someone you know would like to become a part of the PSL family, please feel free to come aboard and together we can support our youth.
