Duck Pluck and Cheerleading Olympics
On October 25th, the cheerleaders competed in a Cheerleading Olympics and participated in the Duck Pluck fundraiser for the Angel 34 Foundation. Through the efforts of the girls at their "Friday Nights for Hope" campaign selling links and Coal Region T-shirts with the help of the Jim Thorpe Cheerleaders, they made a donation of $1750 to the foundation. In addition, the PV Cheerleaders sold 242 ducks, raising an additional $1210 for a grand total of $2960 that was donated. This was our first year involved and the girls had a blast, and it felt great to make this donation. Next year, our goal is $5000!!!

WELCOME!
You are visiting the home page of the Panther Valley Cheerleaders! Located in Lansford, PA, we are a small AA school district consisting of approximately 500 students in grades 9-12. Although we are small, our cheerleading squads are top caliber! Not only do we cheer at football, basketball, and wrestling events, but we are a competing squad as well!
We currently have 3 squads: varsity, junior varsity, and junior high. For the Fall Season of the 2009-2010 school year, we have 17 girls on varsity, 12 on jv, and 12 on jh. We are extremely young this season; however, you wouldn't know it by watching! The girls are really stepping it up and if they stick with the team and continue to work hard... the possibilities are endless!
Our 2003-04 season was our best to date, where we won every competition we went into (except one) including a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP in Pittsburgh, PA! We miss the girls we lost from that year as they were a dedicated group! In 2005-2006, we were named "Schuylkill League Champions" since we scored highest of any Schuylkill League team at the District XI Cheerleading Championship! We are again looking to win many titles this year!
Our girls work extremely hard to be the top squads among all surrounding school teams! Since our budget is tight, all choreographing and instruction is done by our 4 coaches, my sister Hallie (head varsity coach), me (Heidi - assistant varsity coach and head junior varsity coach, Jamie Fedor (head junior high coach), and Jillian Shellhamer (assistant coach).
We, the coaches, are so proud of our girls for their hard work and dedication!
