The date for the 2010 Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Fun Run will be Saturday, July 17, 2010. We will have a 9 am start--low time is 8:58 am. Registration will begin May 10, 2010.

2009 Trail Runner Trophy Series
We are pleased to announce that the 2009 Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Fun Run has been added to the 2009 Trail Runner Magazine's Trophy Series.
This series includes 123 events varying in distance from 5K to ultramarathons. For each event you participate in, you earn points and are eligible for prizes. There are two distance categories--Non Marathon (under 26 miles) and Marathon & Longer (over 26 miles). All participating events are held on non-road surfaces (i.e. beaches, trails, etc).

Breakfast at the Rock
Please join us for a light breakfast at the Rock following the event. Shoreline Calvary will be cooking eggs, sausage and potatoes (menu subject to change). This breakfast is included in your race registration. Additional breakfast may be purchased on race day for $5. Breakfast will begin at 8:30 am and will be served until 11:30 am.
Transportation will be provided from Cayucos Pier to Morro Rock Parking lot. Buses will run every 15 minutes beginning at 8:30 am.

2010 marks the 41st running of the Rock to Pier Fun Run. The run/walk is approx. 6 miles in length and takes place on the hard packed sand from Morro Rock to the Cayucos Pier. We welcome people of all ages and fitness levels to participate. Please leave your dogs at home, the beach is home to the Snowy Plover (endangered bird). We will hold the awards ceremony at Morro Rock at 10:15am. We will have buses running every 15 minutes to shuttle participants back to the Rock.
In 2003, Brian Waterbury, one of the founders of the Rock to Pier Run passed away. In honor of Brian and his contribution to running community, the Morro Bay Recreation and Parks Department renamed the event. To learn more about Brian Waterbury, please see handouts.
The race will begin at 9:00 am.

Registration will begin on May 10, 2010. There are three ways that you may register--online, by mail or in person.

Mail in Registration will be begin Monday May 10, 2010 and available until Friday July 9, 2010. Please send your completed registration form and payment to:

Please allow ample time for your registration to arrive. If we do not have your registration form, you will be required to complete a new form and pay to participate on race day. We will return your check if it arrives.
Walk-in Registration
May 10, 2010
Walk-in Registration will be available from Monday, May 10, 2010 to Friday, July 16, 2010 at 7:00 pm. Our regular office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. On Friday, July 16, 2010 we will be holding registration and packet pick-up from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
Walk-in registration will be held at the Morro Bay Community Center, 1001 Kennedy Way, Morro Bay.
Race Day Registration
July 17, 2010 - 08:00 AM
Race Day Registration will take place from 8:00 am to 8:45 am at Morro Rock Parking Lot on Saturday, July 17, 2010. Please note that registration fees will increase by $10 on race day.
