LIJSL announces division alignments - Riptides move up to Division 4 - Congrats!
It is now official.....The Ronkonkoma Riptides will play in LIJSL's division 4
Congrats to all Ronkonkoma Riptides players. This is a nice accomplishment for a team just formed two years ago. We will play in Nassau and Suffolk this year.
Time to get to work!!!
East End Tournament
CONGRATULATIONS RIPTIDES on placing 3rd Place in the 2009 East End Tournament.
After being shut out on Saturday by some great competitors, The Riptides roared back on Sunday to win all 3 games with two of their own shutouts and finish 3rd.
This marks the third year in a row that the Riptides have come away with trophies at this tournament. The coaches and parents are very proud of all the team's accomplishments

Ronkonkoma Riptides looking to add dedicated players
The Ronkonkoma Riptides are still looking to add two quality and dedicated soccer players. If you have been playing travel soccer and are looking to join a team that is ready to win it all and have some fun, get in touch with Coach Matt. The tryouts will be held at Ronkonkoma Middle School 501 Peconic Street Ronkonkoma NY.
This team started in the fall of 2007 and has had winning seasons since moving from Divison 7 to 5. In 2007 the team won Division 7 going undefeated. In Division 6 the team placed second. The team has also won The East End Tournament two years in a row and most recently won The Commack Memorial Day Tournament.

As you know, the Riptides joined LIJSL three season ago. The team only has three losses in three seasons and has won consecutive East End Soccer Tournament championships. With that stated, the Ronkonkoma Riptides are featured in this month's Ronkonkoma edition of the Our Place Newspaper - highlighting our second consecutive East End Tournament victory. Ronkonkoma Riptides - East End Tournament Champs 2 years in a row...
Breaking news....Riptides successfully defend 2007 East End Tournament Title
** August 10th - Shirley, NY **
The Ronkonkoma Riptides have just won their second straight East End Tournament.....defending our 2007 title with this weekends winning of the 2008 title in Shirley, NY.
The Riptides went undefeated within our bracket....winning all games by shutout victories......
The coaches are very proud of all of the Riptides players.
Everyone played extremely hard....giving it their all. The Riptides got goals by several players....goals form Maria, Jackie and Katie....and first time goals by Anna and Erica...way to go girls. The entire team played extremely well defensively...not giving up a single goal within our bracket....great job by all...especially by our goaltenders Marissa and Kaitlyn.
Congrats to all players and their familes. A job well done ladies.
In addition, the Riptides played a crossover game and played a Hauppauge Division one team....The Riptides never gave up and stayed step for step with Hauppauge....showing the Riptides players and families just how tough we can play....and how far we have come as a team since our first ever game at last year's East End Tournamant....what a year!
And what a great weekend....A second East End Tournament title, going undefeated in our bracket, winning each game via shutout......
We could not be prouder of everyone.....
We hope everyone had fun....

The Ronkonkoma Riptides are proud to announce the addition of two new players....
We would like to welcome Anna and Angelica to the Riptide family
We are also happy to announce the addition of Coach Scott to our coaching staff (increasing our coaching staff to 4 coaches). Coach Scott will bring many years of coaching experience to our team as we look forward to moving up to / playing in LIJSL's Division 5.
In closing, we would like to thank all players and parents for all of your dedication to our team......the girls have played outstanding in our first year of play....and the coaches are very proud of each and every player!

The Riptides set a Ronkonkoma Soccer Club record....

The Ronkonkoma Riptides have set a Ronkonkoma Soccer Club record...
We are the first Ronkonkoma team to join LIJSL..and move up 2 divisions in 2 seasons.....with only 1 loss in our first two seasons.
The Riptides combined Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 record is 15 wins, 1 loss, and 3 ties......unbelievable!
The Riptides have only lost one league game in the two seasons since we joined LIJSL (1 loss out of 19 league games).
The Riptides effort has been fantastic....and it shows in our play on the field.

Ronkonkoma Riptides Go Undefeated & become LIJSL Fall 2007 Division 7E Champs!

The Ronkonkoma Riptides have just completed their inaugural travel soccer season and shocked the league going undefeated with a 9-0-1 record. The team scored 34 goals while giving up only 3 goals all season long. Eight of those games were shoutouts.
The team's record was the result of practicing hard over the summer and placing 1st and 2nd in two summer tournaments.
The Riptides moto was "Never Give Up", although they were never behind in a game the team showed their toughness during 0-0 games and always playing hard and putting games out of reach.
Congrats to the players, families, and coaches...a great accomplishment!
Ronkonkoma Riptides Do It Again - Second place in the September 2007 Labor Day Tournament!

The Ronkonkoma Riptides participated in the Brentwood-Lake Grove End of Summer Labor Day Weekend Tournament. This was the team's second soccer tournamnet in as many weeks. The Riptides took 2nd Place....their only loss was to a team 3 divisions above them - Way to go Girls!!
The loss in the Labor day tournament turned out to be the only loss the team had in their entire inaugural 2007 Fall soccer season. The Riptides were undefeated in the East End Tournamant, had one loss in the Labor Day Tournament, and went undefeated in LIJSL's division 7E.

The Ronkonkoma Riptides - in their first soccer games as a team - won 3 games and placed 1st in the East End Soccer Tournament (Mastic, New York). Outstanding effort!!! We went into the tournament hoping to win at least one game and came out 1st place winners. Great job ladies!!!
