Hello Ridley Park Softball Parents:
I am proud to introduce a chance for your child to play on a Cal Ripkin District Softball team and possibly in a tournament for a State Championship. This is the first year that Ridley will be represented by girls softball, just like baseball has been for years. There will be joint tryouts for all Ridley girls organizations. We will take the best girls in the township and make up teams to play for a chance at a State title. Tryouts may be held at any field of a Ridley organization. Districts and States (if the team qualifies) most likely will be played at away fields. If you are interested please email me email@example.com or let your child's coach know ASAP. Coaches from all of the Ridley Organizations will be involved.
First tryouts start this weekend at Nall Field for 8/u and 10/u girls, so we need to know ASAP.
Tryouts for the 8/u team are tomorrow (Saturday) at Nall Field at 11:00am and again on Sunday (5/17) at 3:00 pm.
Tryouts for the 10/u team are tomorrow at Nall Field at 12:45pm and again on Sunday (5/17), at 4:45pm.
These tryouts are open to any girl who currently plays softball on a Ridley Township team and has a Ridley Address. You must make at least one tryout to be considered for the team. Your child qualifies for each age group if they are that age prior to Jan 1, 2015.
Information for 12U, 14U and 16U tryouts will be sent out and posted as soon as available.
Fees will range from $80 to $125. If your child is not picked, no fees apply. Parents will be expected to support the cause by volunteering for snack bar, field maintenance, etc. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
