SDLL Board of Directors Nominations for 2019
As our 2018 Little League season starts to come to an end, we have to look towards the 2019 season and related league events. One of the most important items for the 2019 season is establishing the San Dimas Little League Board of Directors for the 2018-2019 term. As a member of the San Dimas Little League Board, you will be required to attend monthly meetings, which normally occur the 3rd week of every month throughout the entire 12 month calendar year. These meetings normally last 2-2 ½ hours and sometimes a long at 4- 4 ½ hours depending on the agenda items. As well, you will be required to be present at the fields before, during, and after league games and special events associated with the league at different times and days, conducting various duties. Being a member of the board is a strictly volunteer position with no monetary compensation. I mention all this to give full disclosure to those who are interested in becoming a member of the SDLL Board of Directors, but don’t quite understand what the position entails and the dedication & obligation it requires. The rewards can be priceless, being able to help further this organization to become bigger and better every year for our children to enjoy and make memories that will last a life time, but this is only possible with an active, caring, and dedicated group of volunteers.
If you are interested in being considered to be a member of the 2018-2019 San Dimas Little League Board of Directors, you will be required to complete a nomination form and turn it in on May 12, 2018, between 1:00 pm -7:00 pm, At the Sportsplex , next to the League’s blue storage container. The form has to be filled out by yourself and no one else can submit for you. It will ask for your name and your child or children’s name to verify your standing in the league. The forms will be at the snack bar and will be handed out by the board member on duty at the time. All forms submitted will be reviewed by a Board of Directors Election Committee and then those names will be placed on a ballot to be voted on by San Dimas Little League Members in “Good Standing” on June 2, 2018, at our closing ceremonies if an election is required.
To be eligible for a position on the Board of Directors, you must be a “Regular Member” of the San Dimas Little League in “Good Standing”…

League President, League Vice-President, League Secretary, League Treasurer, Player Agent, Umpire-in-Chief, Junior Division Representative, Major Division Representative, Minor Division Representative, Farm Division Representative, Rookie Division Representative, Tee Ball Division Representative, Trophies & Awards Coordinator, Safety Coordinator, Website/Coaches/Scheduling Coordinator, Snack Bar Coordinator, Fields Coordinator, Equipment Coordinator, Special Events Coordinator, Team Parent Coordinator, Yearbook Coordinator, Merchandising, Sponsorship Coordinator, Fundraiser Coordinator
