The FUN is back! Just like the good 'ole days with 4-Square, Teeter-totters, Hop-Scotch, and KICKBALL.....that is correct, Kickball!!! It has been thriving in St. Louis for over 10 years. It is becoming more and more popular with all age groups, especially with the adults. The SKA League is in its 11th year!!!
Before we continue on, we would like to say 'Farewell' to Ken & Michelle. They are retiring from their organizational duties and have 'passed the torch'! We thank them for being the originators of St. Louis kickball and for creating an amazing league that we all love to be a part of! If you are lucky, you may see them playing in a game or two this spring!
The season begins on March 7 and culminates with the 2-day SKA Tournament of Champions extravaganza on May 15 & 16.
Here is a quick rundown:
* games are played on Sundays at Tower Grove Park, St. Louis, MO.
* each team will play at least 16 games (weather permitting)
* games will begin around 10:00 AM and end around 6:00 PM
* each team will play a double-header, every Sunday
* teams are coed and should have a minimum of 16 on the roster
* 10 players on the field at a time (5 gals, 5 guys)
* we use umpires from ASA (American Softball Association)
* the rules originate from ASA's rules
* the league fee will be $430
* there will also be a $100 REFUNDABLE Forfeit Deposit for any teams that has never played with SKA or that has only played for 1 season.
New This Year - Rec Division

We will have 1 recreational division, with limited spots available. This division will be for those teams who would like a more relaxed style of play than the traditional SKA play. Teams that elect to be included in this division will play most of their games within this division. Please keep in mind, this division will have a different benchmark as compared to the competitive divisions when being seeded in the tournament. SKA will continue to attempt to keep the remaining 3 competitive divisions as balanced as possible. Please have your Captain email SKA if you have questions about which division is appropriate for your team.

You know your team will want some new shirts this year, so why not get them from one of our own. He has been playing kickball since Noah's Ark sank. He is one of the most formidable third basemen in kickball. Oh yeah, you all know and love him...he is the one with the great curly red hair that plays for the Ghostrunners!
