Executive Board Elections to be held December 14th
The offices of President, 2nd Vice President, and Secretary will be voted on and approved according to our bylaws on Dec. 14th from 5-6:30pm at the Booker T Washington Rec Center on Line St. Candidates nomination responses for these offices are listed below. These offices must be filled by someone who has at least one year of active status on the board and meet the minimum requirements as stated in the bylaws.
All active members in good standing of the SLCFA are eligible to vote. One vote per family. There is also one board member seat open and multiple grade rep positions for cheer and football. These positions will be appointed by the newly elected board. If you are interested in one of these positions you must bring a written letter which should include your self nomination on election day. Please be prepared to introduce yourself to the board for those who may not know you.
President Nominee: Bill Lee - Previous services with the Sapulpa Little Chiefs: · President – 2011 · Board Member – 2010 · Grade Rep – Mighty Mite – 2009 · Football Coach – 2007 to 2011 Areas of Emphasis: · Accounting Background – Active CPA · Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting · Multiple years of Football Knowledge · Good with coordination of information and structure. Aims and Objectives: · Provide guidance for organization to become a stable Not-for-Profit. · Develop and guide the local youth through leadership in football and cheer. · Grow the organization with member and charitable support. · Establish greater community support by positive program achievements. I will work toward reaching the goals of the organization within the timeframe of the position to build a solid, respectable foundation for all the current and future Little Chiefs!
2nd Vice Predient Nominees: Zac Williams - I have been a board member for a year and I have coached football for 5 years 4 as an assistant and 1 as a head coach.
Rob Nuttle - I have served three years on the board, my first two as grade reps and last year as a board elected Board member. I have also coached four years for the SLC, three as an assistant and last year as Head Coach.
Secretary Nominees: Tracy May - I am on the board as the 6th and 7th grade cheer rep. I have coached cheer for 3 years. And i would like to stay involved with the board because i think Slc is important for our children in Sapulpa.
Elizabeth Mills - Served on the Sapulpa Little Chiefs for 9 years, 7 years as my son went through the organization, and 2 years after he started school ball. I have served as TAPS president for Woodlawn Elementary. I am the 2012 Sapulpa Touchdown Club secretary, currently serving. As well as, helping out as I am a member of the Sapulpa FFA Booster Club, I hold no officer position with the Booster Club but I do help as I am needed. For me SLC is a tremendous part of this community. It’s a place for our youth to participate, grow, learn, develop relationships, and keeps them focus giving them a reason to not want to make wrong decisions. Having said that I will give my time, and have given my time to provide this opportunity for our Sapulpa Youth/Athletes.
