Hello OSAS family,
I have decided to retire from playing softball after this year. I will be studying for the CPA exam, working two jobs, and raising a new born. I will simply be too busy to play or manage this league anymore.
This means I will be looking for someone to take over the league. For the remainder of this season, I will show this person everything involved in running the league. This person must above all else be able to assume the financial liability of running this league.
This person will need to:
Market the league, Contract with the city of Ocean Springs to acquire facilities, purchase facility insurance, provide a medium of exchange to collect team registration fees, handle payments to staff (umpires and scorekeepers), implement bylaws, understand USSSA rules, maintain website, and keep a positive balance in league account.
Microsoft Excel, document organization, bank reconciliation experience, interpersonal skills, and computer knowledge.
There is no pay for this job. The love of having a place to play the game must be enough for this individual.
I hope that an individual or some individuals will step up and take over.
