Register Now for Girls Fall Softball!

Fall Ball Starts September 5th!

For the third season in a row, SPLL will be offering Fall Softball for girls 8-14 (ages as of Jan. 1, 2015).  Registration is now open and teams are forming in 8U KidPitch, 10U Minors, 12U Majors, and 14U Juniors.  The season starts on September 5, 2014, and the price is $145 (the same as regular season). Games will be predominately on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons.  “Home” games will be at our beautiful Orange Grove Park, however we will be playing “away” against teams throughout the county.  We expect to see competition from teams in Alhambra, Azusa, Glendora, Sierra Madre, Montebello, La Crescenta, La Canada, Pasadena, Monterey Park, San Marino, and others.  There are no South Pasadena residential requirements in order to participate in SPLL Fall Ball, however there will be snack stand duties.

Register quickly as the registration deadline is August 22nd. Teams are going to fill up fast and once they are complete, you may be placed on a waiting list until there are enough players to start another team.

Jon Takasugi,

Majors Win! Majors Win!

Congratulations to the new District 18 Majors Softball All-Star Champs!

Our SPLL team had to beat Los Angeles Little League twice to grab the title, beating them 6-5 Tuesday and 15-12 Wednesday.  Next stop: Azusa for the Section tournament!  Way to go girls!

  1. It's no longer fun
  2. They have lost ownership of the experience
  3. They don't get playing time
  4. They are afraid to make mistakes
  5. They feel disrespected
