OUR PROGRAMS:

  • Cheerleading
  • Soccer
  • Track

    Under the direction of the Executive Committee, each program independently administers the operation of their program through a board of directors, committee(s), and / or chairperson(s).

    The St. Patrick's Executive Committee provides coordination and oversight of the operations of all parish athletics. This website will provide general information for all athletic programs. For specific program information, contact the respective progam(s) administrator(s), by selecting the "Contact Info" tab from the menu on the left. If the program has a dedicated website you may access it by selecting the "Links" tab from the menu on the left and then selecting the appropriate url.

    In general, you should be aware of the following:

  • All programs are directed to operate in full compliance with the Archdiocese "Safe Environment Program" and its mandates.

  • The Athletic Program's philosophy and principles are defined in its "Mission Statement," which outlines the code of conduct for players, parents, and coaches. The "Mission Statement" can be viewed by selecting the handout tab on the menu and then selecting "Mission Statement." Everyone is responsible to know, understand, and accept these guidelines.

  • The "Mission Statement" cautions against overemphasizing short term goals such as being competitive and winning against long term goals including teaching valuable life skills. While we strive to be competitive, the program emphasizes participants learn:

  • To win without bragging / lose without excuses;
  • The team comes first;
  • Adapt to unforeseen challenges;
  • Control emotions under stress;
  • Overcome adversity

    The program(s) needs your support in reinforcing these life skills and to help the children develop physically, psychologically and socially.

  • Decisions are guided by the "Mission Statement," and adhering to a hierarchy of:

  • Parish
  • Program
  • Team
  • Child

  • Be aware that the format of our sports programs may differ from other organizations. This includes differences in competitive environment, playing time rules, roster sizes, etc. In order to ensure that expectations align with the program's format, inquiries on what can be anticipated, should be made to the program administrators.

  • Our program is administered by volunteers. In addition to coaches, each sport mandates a certain amount of parental involvement. For some it's minimal, for others it may be substantial. Inquire about the mandatory requirements prior to registration.

  • The program is permitted to use the parish facilities with the understanding that it will adequately provide for the safeguarding of the children and the facility. This includes lobby security at all times when our programs are in the building and additional security during inter-parish games.

    Failure to adequately provide for these safeguards will directly affect use of the facilities. Keep in mind the athletes are the children of our parish and they are playing in our school. Providing adequate safeguards is critical to their welfare. This also applies to activity at visiting parishes as well as any practice in outside areas.

  • The protocol for handling any issues or problems is to first discuss it with the specific sport administrator, in a calm and polite manner. If you are not satisfied, you can file a written complaint with St. Patrick's Executive Committee addressed to the Parish Office. Only signed letters with contact information will be accepted.
