ST. JOE'S MADE IT TO THE ELITE EIGHT FOR THE THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR AT THE CINCY FLAMES SUMMER CLASSIC, THE ONLY TEAM TO HAVE ACCOMPLISHED THIS. THEY DEFENDED THEIR 2008 TITLE SUCCUMBING TO THE NATIONALLY RANKED FUTURE BASEBALL 2-0 IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.
ST. JOE'S FINISHED POOL PLAY THE #7 SEED OUT OF 44 PARTICIPATING TEAMS. IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND THEY DEFEATED THE #10 TIPP CITY LIGHTNING, #2 OHIO DIAMOND HAWKS,AND THE #6 CINCINNATI FLAMES.
