The SWS Rebels consists of over 150 children from Old Bridge, NJ that participate in football.
We are happy to be adding Cheerleading for the 2012 season.
They will cheer on Sunday's at all the game's and participate in JSAYF competition at the end of the year.
We have Flag for children from PreK - Kindergarten
Tackle begins with 1st grade and goes through 8th grade
Parents have the option of allowing their 1st grader to play Flag
2012 is our 50th continuous year serving the youth of Old Bridge. The Rebels are the oldest and the most successful team in Old Bridge over that time. Come and see what it's like to play for a league that has been there for the people of Old Bridge for this long. YOU WILL LOVE IT.

OUR FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE IS MONDAY AUGUST 13TH
$175-Tackle Football and Cheerleading (includes $100 player registration plus $75 work bond refundable when work hours are satisfied)
$100-Flag Football
$50-Player Registration Football - (Pay $50 now to reserve spot and pay the rest at a later date- non refundable)
All additional siblings for football and cheerleading are only $10 additional.
SWS Rebels is part of the American Youth Football national organization that supports our youth football and cheer kids.Your child was given a membership card to enroll and be able to take advantage of the program itself. Please read thru the news letter for more info.
Our teams are divided by age/grade NOT by weight!

We have Flag from pre-K through Kindergarten and Tackle from 1st grade through 8th grade. Parents have the option of having their first graders play Flag.
Your child gets to play with children their own age regardless of their weight!
Pictures Wanted
Rebel parents and friends, do you have pictures taken at a game? If you have some good shots from a game, please e-mail them to me as a .jpeg attachment(s), and we will add them to our website under "photo albums". Please indicate the game they were taken at and which team was playing, for example: Pee Wees vs. Morgan 09/03/06.

Did you know?...
The Rebels are the longest running youth football program in OldBridge, we have been in existence 48 years
Our program has teams from Grade K through 8
Our league is based on grade only, you will be playing against kids in your grade not kids that could be 2 grades/years older like in Pop Warner
Our season starts August 15thwhich gives kids and parents an extra 2 weeks of the summer to enjoy where Pop Warner starts August 1st
Our registrations fees are the lowest in town
Included in our registration fees for tackle teams are customized jersey’s with your child’s name on the back that are yours to keep which is a great keepsake and will provide great memories for your entire family
The Rebels continue to feed the High School with starters. Many former rebels are varsity, j.v. and freshman starters.
Our coaches are comprised of predominately ex-high school and college players and college coaches which will provide your kid the best teachers in OldBridge to learn the fundamentals of the game
We are the only league in OldBridge that has no weight limit for lineman to provide a forum for larger youths to play football
Although the weight limits are unlimited for lineman the “Eligible Ball Carriers” weight is 20-25% lighter than Pop Warmer (see matrix below)
The Rebels will be adding competitive cheerleading program at all levels
All equipment is provide with the exception of cup and cleats
We are centrally located on Route 516 for easy access to and from practice
The Suburban youth football league provides scholarship money for 8th grade cheerleaders and football players
One of the Rebels cheerleaders was a 2009 recipient of one of these scholarship awards
