TBI WELCOMES A NEW SPONSOR

TBI has started the recruiting process for the 2014 season.  We are looking to bring in select players that have will and desire to be the best.   The off-season training focuses on fundementals, conditioning and player development.  This training will begin immediately after the conclusion of our season in August.  In addition, TBI will be planning on having th Junior Magic Season which will allow the girls to keep their competitive edge during the off-season.

TOURNAMENT SEASON IS FUN BUT PUTTING IN THE HARD WORK IN THE OFF-SEASON IS HOW TBI IS GOING TO BECOME THE MECCA FOR GIRLS BASKETBALL IN FLORIDA!

Congratulations to our 9th grade team on their 2nd place finish in the 2013 AAU Florida State Championships.  Special thanks goes to Sydney Johnson (2019) and Audra Liepold (2019) for helping out the team this past weekend.  Girls played amazing  finishing the weekend with a 4-1 record.  Great job Coach Givens, Coach Mark and Coach Ben.

Our 8th grade team also had a good showing going 1-1 in pool play.  They also won their first bracket game by a score of 47-39 over Warehouse Lady Ballers.  They advanced all the way to the quarter finals before loosing to Next Level Hoops.  Overall, Coach AJ and his team ended the weekend with a 2-2 record.  Special thanks to Olivia Correll (2019) and Taylor Polaski (2019) for their help and contributions this weekend.

CONGRATULATIONS TO AUDRA LIEPOLD!

This young lady led her Nolan Middle School (Manatee County) to their first county championship in school history.  Please congratulate her next time you see her.  We thank you for bringing your talent to TBI and we look forward to many more success stories.

  DISNEY SPRING FLING RECAP

Spring Fling was a great success this weekend. 

5th Grade-Started out strong going undefeated in pool play.  Unfortunately they lost their first bracket game ending with a 2-1 record.  Great job 5th grade!

6th Grade-This is a team that was clearly bitten by the injury bug.  6th grade has 2 players injured that could not play.  Girls played hard but it was not enough.

8th Grade-This team continues to improve but lost some games after having the lead.  Highlight of the weekend had to be blowing out the Smooth Stones Finest 47-24.  They finished with a 1-3 record.

7th grade-This teams wins their 4th tournament in a row. Most importantly, they overcame adversity after lossing a game in pool play.  They battled back and finished with a 5-1 record and yet another championship.  Congratulations on winning Spring Fling I and II!

9th Grade- This team continues to dominate.  Keep in mind that this team is actually an 8th grade team playing up but have managed place in every tournament this year and win Spring Fling I and II.  Congratulations on all of your success!

     TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS RECAP

6th grade place 2nd losing a close championship to the Clay Gators.

7th Grade team pulls out another championship.  This team has won 3 of their last 5 tournaments and currently have a 15 game win streak.

8th Grade team finished with a 2-2 record and advance to bracket play. This team comntinues to improve with each tournament.

9th Grade team finished with a 3-2 record over the weekend.  After lossing their opeining game in pool play this team battled back and made it to the championship game.  They lost the championship game on a Rampage Elite jumpshot at the buzzer.  Final score 42-40.

INFERNO PLAYERS SUCCEED ON AND OFF THE COURT

The Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce has awarded Stephanie Brower and Xennia Chester the 14th Annual Pride Award.  This award recognizes students in the Wesley Chapel area for their hard work and academic achievement throughout the school year.
