With tryouts over, team selections made and two practices already in the books, the Team is looking ready for Pittsburgh. Just a few days left before the last practice and the time is coming fast before we hit the road. Here is this year's 2017 Team New Jersey:

On April 19th the team will be hitting the road to bring back to New Jersey it's second tournament Championship. Last year to lost in the Semi's to the eventual tournament winner Illinois.

USA Hockey's America's High school Showcase Candidates

(Formerly Chicago Showcase)

CURRENT HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS AND SENIORS

During this season, we have had the opportunity to scout many potential candidates for the year's America's Showcase team. The process is an open tryout. Players participating in the showcase have gone on to play Tier 1 Juniors, D1 College, Hobey Baker nominees, NHL draftees and players. 

As in previous years, there will be teams representing approximately 24 states, with more than 400 of the top players from across they country participating. Every major hockey program, including NHL, NCAA, ACHA, Juniors and Prep Schools will be represented to scout these players. 

Once again, the Atlantic District Player Development Program will oversee the teams from the Atlantic District with Nancy Hughes continuing as the overall coordinator for the 23rd Year. Also returning is Head Coach Walt Keiper, Lou DiNardo and Chad Dlugolecki as well as Jerry Patrizio as team's General Manager! 

The New Jersey teams have always had good showings, receiving a lot of scouting attention. The staff is anticipating another good year with the number talented players in the state. The tryouts:  fee $60 per-regristered and $80 at the door. (NOTE: Players only need to attend one of the first two tryouts, All must attend finals) All dates and times subject to change.

  • Thursday, March 16th 7:00 to 8:45 PM - Ice Vault Arena, Wayne, NJ.
  • Tuesday, March 21st 7:10 to 8:40 PM  - Howell Ice World, Farmingdale NJ.
  • FINALS  Saturday, March 25th 4:15 PM to 5:45 PM - Ice Vault Arena, Wayne, NJ - 
  • Team Selection at Final Tryout - Parent/Guardian needed in attendance.........

In the event your are selected to participate, following is an outline of the expected commitment. 

  • Practices: 3/28 7:30 to 8:45 PM & 4/4 7:15 to 8:30 PM at the Ice Vault & 4/11 7:10 to 8:10 at Howell -
  • Showcase: Pittsburgh, PA 4/20 to 4/24 (departing on Wednesday, April 19th 10:00 AM from the Ice Vault on team bus)
  • Cost:$900  per player and it includes: Practices, transportation to the event via team bus, hotel in Pittsburgh (2 Players per room), entrance fee into the Showcase Tournament, team jerseys, socks, team jacket, team picture, and most meals. 
  • College visit: Robert Morris University
