ELECT CASEY JOHNSON TO CITY COUNCIL IN THE 5TH DISTRICT
March 1, 2013

The SBL's own Casey Johnson needs your vote!

Elect Casey Johnson for City Council in the 5th District.

Casey Johnson announces candidacy for Peoria City Council, District 5

Casey Johnson will enter the race for Peoria City Council as a candidate for the 5th District. "I am running for City Council because I want to build on the volunteerism I've demonstrated in the past and want to make the 5th district the best I can for Peoria families calling it home," says Casey Johnson.

About the candidate: Casey has established himself as a leader and role model for others and his passion for the City of Peoria is evident through his commitment to the community. Casey has demonstrated his leadership in Peoria by graduating from the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School (CLS) in 2009, while at the same time beginning his own financial advising business. He then served for CLS as a committee member over the next three years and was Chairman of the program in 2011. He has worked to help launch Emerging Philanthropists of Central Illinois (EPIC), an extension of the Community Foundation of Central Illinois. He serves as an appointed City commissioner on the Central Illinois Workforce Development Board, currently serving on its finance committee. He also currently serves as a VIP Team Leader for Easter Seals, is a member of the Young Leaders Advisory Board for Peoria Promise and is a member of Young Professionals Organization of Greater Peoria. Casey has given significant time to other organizations such as the Peoria Ballet Board of Directors, Salvation Army, and the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce. Casey Johnson is passionate about helping Peoria become the greatest City it can and sees strong opportunity for growth and development in the 5th District. Casey is a Partner at WestPoint Financial Group and takes great pride in his relationships, attention and responsiveness to his clients.

"I see my role as the Councilman for District 5 being similar to how I run my business. I am there to listen and serve the families and businesses that have a vested interest in our District. They can count on me to be present, engaged, and fully accessible. Most importantly, they can count on me to take action on their behalf." - Casey Johnson, Candidate for District 5

Casey Johnson, 33, and his wife Kimberleigh are proud parents of their one year old daughter Grace.
