ON-LINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE SUMMER TOURNAMENT!
Register on-line to reserve your spot. IMPORTANT: Acceptance will be based on order of payment receipt and availability within your division.

WHO: SUMMER CLASSIC: 8U-15U

Age prior to 5/1/15 detemines age group

SITE LOCATIONS: TBD - Harford County (venues / directions will be posted under 'Site Directions' tab)

ENTRANCE FEE: $495 for 8U-10U teams, $595 for 11U-15U teams (3 GAME GUARANTEE, INCLUDES GAME BALLS AND UMPIRE FEES FOR THE ENTIRE TOURNAMENT - 1 UMPIRE for 8U-10U games and 2 UMPIRES for 11U-15U games and ALL championship games)

FORMAT: Determined based on number of registered teams - Team and individual trophies will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place teams along with MVP awards.  NOTE: 8U is Kid Pitch.

SUMMER CLASSIC CANCELLED

June 26, 2015 – 12:45 PM

After watching the weather forecasts over the past few days and studying them this morning, the tournament committee has come to the difficult decision of cancelling this year's Summer Classic.  The forecasted rain for Harford County starting late tomorrow morning thru late tomorrow night suggests the possibility for little to no baseball on Saturday.  Further, given the amount of forecasted rain and the already wet ground conditions, it seems unlikely that the fields will be playable first thing Sunday morning, which eliminates the possibility of a one-day event.

To expound on this decision, many factors are at play when making a decision such as this.  Teams are traveling from surrounding states and need to cancel / change their plans / reservations.  Also, we don't feel it's right to try and squeeze in one game on Sat or Sun, eliminating refund options.  After carefully considering all of the possible scenarios, cancelling presents itself as the most prudent option - refunding the maximum amount of money that we can to all 160 teams.  We will reach out to the coaches soon with refund information.

Weather Update

June 25, 2015 – 01:00 PM

There is potential weather that could affect us this weekend.  At this point we are moving forward with the tournament as planned.  As we get closer to the weekend, if we see that the weather is inevitable we will then discuss our options as it relates to playing or not.  We ask that you do not e-mail us for weather-related updates as it will slow any efforts behind the scenes to get the fields playable and / or adjust the schedules.  We will continue to update the front page of the website and / or will send out e-mails as needed - please check those locations for updates.  If there is no post on our website, then the games are on as scheduled.  We will most likely try to make a weather determination by Friday afternoon as we know those from out of town may be traveling in on Friday evening.  We are not tied in with any hotels so we do not have any control over their cancellation policies.  With that, we recommend calling your hotel if you have a Friday night reservation to see if they can give you some type of extended cancellation time on Friday.

We are currently finalizing schedules and will have them posted by the end of the day Tuesday, 6/16.  As schedules are completed, they will be uploaded to the website.  Please check back often to see if your division is up.

UCBF Summer Classic Registration is CLOSED

June 2, 2015 – 07:00 AM

Registration for the 2015 Summer Classic is now closed.  If you are registered, please be sure to check the "Accepted / Registered Teams" tab on the left hand side of the page to see whether or not you are paid - payment received is indicated by a change from "Registered" to "Accepted".  Payment must be received by Friday, June 5th to guarantee acceptance into the tournament.  Thanks!

UCBF Spring Classic Refunds

April 22, 2015 – 06:00 PM

We have received refund / transfer information from all of the teams at this point and can now start cutting checks.  These checks should be mailed within the next week to the addresses previously provided.

After crunching all of the numbers for the tournament, we are pleased to announce that we are able to refund more than the 75% levels stated in the tournament's rules and policies. 

For 8U-10U teams which paid $495 as an entrance fee, we will be refunding $410.  For 11U-14U teams which paid $595 as an entrance fee, we will be refunding $510.  Both of these refund levels are over 80% and both are greater than they were in 2014 when the Spring Classic was canceled.

UCBF Spring Classic Refund Info Needed

April 13, 2015 – 11:00 AM

We are currently waiting on over sixty (60) teams to provide guidance about their wishes for a refund or a transfer to the 2015 Summer Classic.  We realize that many of you are waiting for your refund checks and / or information about your transfer, but we cannot do this without responses from everyone!

With that, please click here to see a list of the teams that we are still awaiting information from.  The final deadline will be 5pm on Wednesday 4/15.  If we have not heard from you at that time, you will be marked for a refund so that we can move forward with our planning.

UPDATED SCHEDULES!

March 25, 2015 – 01:00 PM

In light of forecasted cold temperatures over the weekend and the potential for rain later in the week, we have decided to make some changes to this weekend's schedule: 

#1) ALL GAMES, regardless of age group, on both Saturday and Sunday, including elimination round games and championship games, will be six (6) inning games. 

#2) All games, except the championship games, will have a 1:45 time limit (no new inning can start after the time limit has been reached).  Championship games will be played until completion, the mercy rule is reached, or darkness.

#3) We have pushed back the start times of ALL games for both days to minimize play in the early morning cold temperatures.  On Saturday, the four (4) game slots for all age groups will be 11am, 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm.  On Sunday, the preliminary round game slots will be 10am and 12pm.  Semifinal and championship game times have also been adjusted based on the given age group.

All schedule changes have been made on the site so please check them out.  We trust that everyone can understand this decision.  After all, these are likely the first games that many of the teams are playing in this spring, and getting as many games in as possible for as many teams as possible is the goal with this decision.

Tournament Draw Update

Thanks to all of the coaches for coming out to last night's draw.  The schedule is in progress and we are hoping to have it up within the next week.  For those of you that weren't able to attend, CLICK HERE to see the results!

One small change, 10U "B1" Emmorton Eagles (Morton) is being replaced by SRYA Seahawks (Ford).

T-Shirt Pre-Ordering is NOW OPEN!

UCBF is happy to announce that tournament t-shirt ordering is now open on-line! The tournament t-shirt is wildly popular so please be sure to get your order in ahead of time!  You can find links to the pre-order page in the upper right hand corner of the home page as well as under the "Online Registration" tab on the left hand side of the page.

This year's t-shirt will be the same for both the Spring Classic and the Summer Classic tournaments and will be black in color. The "back" design can be seen to the right as well as on the order form. Get your orders in soon!  Pre-ordering will close on March 1st!

Division Expansion

January 11, 2015 – 12:00 PM

With payments arriving daily, waitlists are growing so please get your payments in!  Once a division's original limit is reached, the division will be expanded in groups of four (4) "waitlisted" teams if fields are available.  This morning, 11U "B" was expanded to twenty (20) teams.

"LIVE" Spring Tournament Draw

January 7, 2015 – 12:00 PM

This year's Spring Classic "LIVE" draw will be held on Wednesday, March 4th, 2015 at Half Pints Sports Pub & Grill located at 1204 Agora Drive in Bel Air, MD (click the logo to be redirected to the Half Pints website in order to get more information about the location).  The draw will start at 8:30pm.  Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be supplied by UCBF (but feel free to take advantage of the other beverages!!!).

Division Closures & Waitlisting

Hello everyone!  With divisions filling up quickly and the tournament currently having over 150 ACCEPTED teams, we would like to ask for each new registrant to please check the division they wish to join before making an ONLINE payment through the registration process.  The current status of a division can be easily checked through the "ACCEPTED TEAMS" link on the left side of the page.  If you are looking to register for a division that is CLOSED, we would ask that you please DO NOT PAY ONLINE and instead mail a check.  This will help us in easily refunding your money if a slot doesn't open up in your division that would allow us to move you from WAITLISTED to ACCEPTED status.

Division Limits

With registrations and payments rolling in daily, all divisions are filling up quickly.  To date, we already have two (2) closed divisions and others are close to closing.  For teams that submit payment after a division is closed, we will list you as "waitlisted" until expansion can be discussed or a team drops out. 

As mentioned below, each division's limit is currently set at 16 teams (except for the 14U divisions, which is set at 12 teams).

Be sure to get signed up and paid ASAP!

Hello everyone!  It's that time again....time to get registered for the 2015 UCBF Spring Classic!  Registration is now open!!!  Please follow the link at the top right of the page or via the tab on the left hand side of the page!

New this year.....Credit Card / PayPal payments can be accepted!  With acceptance granted based on payment receipt (and space), CC/PP payments can get your spot reserved faster!

Given the growing popularity of the tournament over the past couple of years, this year's event has each division's limit set at 16 teams, with expansion only possible with field availability and interest.
