WHO:8U-15U, with "Championship" and "Consolation" Divisions, as possible

SITE LOCATIONS: TBD - Harford County (venues / directions will be posted under 'Site Directions' tab)
ENTRANCE FEE: $475 for 8U-12U teams, $575 for 13U-15U teams (3 GAME GUARANTEE, INCLUDES GAME BALLS AND UMPIRE FEES FOR THE ENTIRE TOURNAMENT - 1 UMPIRE for 8U-12U games and 2 UMPIRES for 13U-15U games and ALL championship games)
FORMAT: Determined based on number of registered teams - Team and individual trophies will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place teams along with MVP awards.

1) Weather - For any weather delays the website will be updated on a regular basis. We do have some time built into the schedule on Saturday to push back game times if needed. Please check the website before leaving for the tournament. For site specific questions please contact the site host directly for the fields you are playing at. Site host phone numbers can be found under the "Contact Info" tab. 2) Site Check-In Ttent - It is not mandatory to check in on arrival to the tournament at your field's site tent. Please have a copy of your players approved birth documents and a copy of the roster you turned into us readily available if a challenge occurs. We will not ask for these documents to be shown unless a player challenge occurs and the roster you submitted to us that we have on file will be considered the "Official Roster" if this happens. If you did not attend the Live tournament draw then you can pick up your team packet at the site check-in tent at the fields you are playing at. If you pre-ordered T-shirts and you did not pick them up at the Live draw then they will also be available for team pick up at your field's site tent. 3) Clarifications - We will not be using game summary sheets like we did last year. For this year the umpire will have an umpire game card that a coach, scorekeeper, manager, etc will need to sign at the completion of the game from both teams. Please verify that the score the umpire writes on the card is correct. Once the card is turned in by the umpire to the site tent it will stand as the Official Score of the game without any Exceptions even if you forget to sign the card. It is your responsibility to make sure to verify and sign the umpires card. For Preliminary Round games, the home team will be determined by coin flip. For Elimination Round games, the higher seed is the home team.
Elimination Rounds:
- For divisions that have two (2) groups, the 1st and 2nd place teams from each group will advance from the Preliminary Round.
- For divisions that have three (3) groups, each 1st place team and one (1) "wild card" team will advance from the Preliminary Round. The "wild card" team will play the #1 seed in the semifinals unless the #1 seed and the "wild card" were in the same group during the Preliminary Round in which "Flight Protection" will then be invoked and the "wild card" team will instead play the #2 seed in the semifinals.
- For divisions that have four (4) groups, each 1st place team will advance from the Preliminary Round.
4) Rules - Please review our complete rules and rules summary sheet under the "Tournament Rules Tab". Please review the bat restrictions. Composite, half and half, and aluminum are allowed. The bat can NOT be stamped "double wall", if it is it is illegal. There are so many different versions of bats and although some may be considered double wall if it is not stamped "double wall" on the bat then it will be legal to use. 14U must use -3 BBCOR bats. 5) Uniforms - With this being an early bird tournament there are still teams waiting on uniform orders and we realize that some of your players may have to wear a similiar color or mismatched uniforms or duplicate numbers. For our early bird tournament we understand this and will make an exception to the uniform rule. 6) Concessions - Most of the sites will be selling concessions. The proceeds from concessions go to that program or team that is hosting that site. Many of these teams are trying to raise the money to attend Cooperstown, Myrtle Beach, etc., and are relying on concession sales as a fundraiser. Please ask your parents to support concessions at each location so we can help raise the money these teams/programs need. 7) Rosters - Please check below to see what team rosters we are still waiting to receive. I need your roster submitted by tonight. If you are listed then we do not have it!! The copy that you have submitted will be considered the "official roster" so if you get challenged and we don't have it on file then you will lose the challenge. Play Ball !! 12U "A2" Schedule Modification

The 12U "A2" schedule has been modified slightly at the request of the site host. There has been no change to the matchups or the game times. Only the field locations have changed and these changes are minor with all games still occuring at the same site.

First off, thank you to everyone that attended last night's "Live" Tournament Draw. It was a great time!
As of 10:50pm tonight, all 299 games of the 2012 UCBF Spring Classic have been posted. Please see the 'Game Schedules" tab on the left side of the page.
In the days leading up to the tournament, please check back often for any tournament updates and pray for GOOD WEATHER!
Additionally, on Monday 3/26, we will post and e-mail a list of teams for which we still need a signed roster form and / or a t-shirt order payment.
Good luck to everyone on their final touney preparations! See you next weekend!

The 2012 UCBF Spring Classic is officially closed at one hundred sixty-nine (169) teams! We will be playing on forty-four (44) different fields at sixteen (16) different locations!!!
Additionally, the 12U "A" and 12U "B" division splits - "A1", "A2", "B1", and "B2" - have been posted under the 'Teams Registered / Accepted' tab on the left side of the page.

UCBF is happy to announce that tournament t-shirt ordering is now open on-line! Last year's t-shirt was overwhelmingly popular so we're bringing it back again this year! You can find links to the pre-order page in the upper right hand corner of the home page as well as under the "Online Registration / T-Shirt Pre-Orders" tab on the left hand side of the page.
This year's t-shirt will be the same for both the Spring Classic and the Summer Classic tournaments and will be black in color. Please see the on-line order form for a picture of the back logo. Get your orders in soon!
