Another Spring Classic in the books!

April 3, 2017 – 01:00 PM

Well, it wasn't the easiest tournament to get through and, unfortunately, some divisions had to be canceled, but it was nice to get some early spring baseball in this past weekend.  The tournament committee would like to thank all of the teams that participated this weekend and to congratulate all of the Champions and Finalists on some solid baseball!

Additionally, the tournament committee would also like to thank all of our site hosts for going above and beyond the norm to get fields playable for Saturday afternoon.  To show what they were dealing with, please check out these images that were taken late on Friday afternoon...

We hope to see everyone for the Summer Classic.  Good luck in your season!

Sunday Update

April 1, 2017 – 08:35 PM

All scores from today's action have been entered into the website and can be found under the Results tab.  Additionally, all of the brackets have been updated with the results and can be found under the Brackets tab.

Good luck to everyone on Sunday and be sure to study up on your tiebreakers :)

April 1, 2017 – 11:45 AM

It has come to our attention that one (1) of the fields slated for use in the 14U "B" division has now been deemed unplayable this weekend.  With that, Group B from the 14U "B" division has been canceled, but teams in Groups A and C will still play as scheduled.  The tournament directors have reached out via phone and e-mail to the affected teams in Group B.

For the remaining 14U "B" teams, those teams in Groups A and C, please be sure to review the updated bracket and schedule under the tabs on the left hand side of the page to see the necessary changes to the Sunday schedule.

April 1, 2017 – 10:30 AM

With nearly two (2) inches of rain falling yesterday and into last night all across Harford County, unfortunately, we have fields that are not playable this weekend.  With that, the following divisions have, sadly, been canceled for the weekend...

11U "B1"
13U "A"
13U "B1"
13U "B2"

In addition to these division cancelations, schedule changes have also been made to the following divisions...

12U "B"
14U "A"
14U "B"

If you are playing in 12U "B", 14U "A", or 14U "B", please be sure to check these schedules closely for field and / or time changes that were necessary to still be able to run these divisions.  Revised brackets and schedules can be found under the appropriate tabs on the left side of the page.

For teams in which their division was unfortunately canceled, you will receive a FULL refund or you can transfer the funds to our Summer Classic tournament in June.  We will be contacting you next week to provide your options moving forward.

Good luck to all of the teams playing today and thank you to all for you understanding in these trying weather conditions!

March 31, 2017 – 02:45 PM

As we continue to keep a close eye on the weather, the weather forecasts, and the current field conditions, we have decided at this time to move from "Plan B" to "Plan C".

With that, the Brackets and Schedules / Results tabs have been updated with the "Plan C" schedules.  Under this plan, on Saturday, each team is scheduled to play one (1) game with a 1 hour 45 minute no new inning time limit.  Your game will either be at 3pm or 5pm.  For Sunday, the schedule is as originally posted with each team playing one (1) game in the morning.  Seeding will then be based on the two (2) played games with semifinals and finals in the afternoon.

Saturday morning, we will once again re-evaluate things and will make a determination by 10am as to whether play on Saturday will occur or not.  If play cannot occur on Saturday, we will look to move to "Plan D" - a one-day tournament format, as described below.

Please check back to the website often for updates as we will post any weather related changes here.

March 31, 2017 – 08:30 AM

The tournament directors are keeping a close eye on the weather, the weather forecasts, and the current field conditions.

By 10am Saturday morning, we will post whether or not we will play games on Saturday.  Currently, the "Plan B" schedules are posted, which are based on a noon start time with all teams playing two (2) reduced time games.  If it is determined that a noon start for games is not possible, we will switch to "Plan C", which will be a 3pm start time with every team getting a single game in on Sat afternoon.  With both plans "B" and "C", the Sunday schedule will stay as originally (and currently) posted.

If it is determined that play is not possible on Saturday due to the field conditions, "Plan D" is to condense the tournament into a one-day event with games starting at 8am on Sunday.  With this format, each team would get two (2) seeding games before semifinals and finals on Sunday afternoon.

Please check back to the website often for updates as we will post any weather related changes here.
Please trust us in knowing that we are doing everything we can to make this event happen!

March 30, 2017 – 08:30 AM

Per our e-mail communication from last night to all of the coaches, all Saturday 4/1 games are being delayed and condensed given the forecasted rain throughout the day on Friday in Harford County.

The originally scheduled game times of 9:00am, 11:15am, 1:30pm, and 3:45pm are being delayed to 12:00pm, 1:45pm, 3:30pm, and 5:15pm, respectively.

Additionally, all Saturday 4/1 games will now have a 90 minute time limit, with no new inning started after this point.

Thanks to everyone for their flexibility as we hope to be able to still get the event in.  The 2017 Spring Classic Tournament Brackets and 2017 Spring Classic Schedules / Results tabs have been updated with these changes.

Please check the website frequently over the next couple of days for additional changes.

Schedule UPDATE - 9U B Division ONLY
