275th Anniversary Celebration of Upper Hanover Township at Camelot Park
Upper Hanover Township, home of our very own Camelot Park fields, is celebrating its 275th Anniversary!
They have several upcoming events that everyone is invited to attend:
Sunday, August 21st "Back Porch Seminar" at the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center, 105 Seminary Street, Pennsburg.
2 to 4 pm Local Historian Larry Roeder will host a panel discussion on little known historical facts about Upper
Hanover Township. Learn the history about the township and hear stories of people and events
that made Upper Hanover the community it is today. (See attached Flyer)
Saturday, September 17th 275th Anniversary Day Celebration at Camelot Park (see attached flyer)
8 am to 5 pm Various activities will be ongoing throughout the day.
There will be face painting, kids games, boy/girl scout campsite demonstrations,
, spotted lanternfly information booth, Petting Zoo by Quiver Fams, miniature train rides
for adults and kids, fire trucks, tractors, township equipment including trucks/plows,
a special edition chocolate bar for the 275 Anniversary for sale,
copies of "Upper Hanover Township, Celebrating 275 years of history" for sale.
8 am Yoga in the Park
10 am - 2 pm Bee-keeper Presentation
Master Gardener Exhibit
3 pm Time Capsule Dedication
2016 All-Stars Announced
We are pleased to announce the following All-Stars. The All-Stars were selected by their fellow teammates to participate in one final "All-Star Game". Congratulations!
For our U08 Division, the game was held on Monday June 13th at the Eagle A Park.

2016 Wiffle Ball Tournament Co-Champs
Congratulations to our 2016 Wiffle Ball Co- Champs.....
Team Emma and Team Eden
With our original date for the Wiffle Ball Tournament being postponed due to storms, the weather for Saturday May 21st managed to hold off long enough and allow for a fun-filled, competitive tournament of Wiffle Ball.
With 10 teams competing this year, it came down to Team Emma, lead by Emma's dad Chris, and his team of Chris Lehn, Ryan Lehn, Luke Swavely, and Jim Daneker AND Team Eden, led by Coach Ben, his wife Christine, and daughters Olivia, and Riley.
Proceeds and donations from this event totalling $500.00 will be donated to Team Emma - 4Ever Fighting Pediatric Cancer in memory of little Emma Deiley.

Upper Perk Girls Softball League
is pleased to announce the date and information for its
2nd Annual WIffle Ball Tournament.
All proceeds from this tournament will be given to a member of our softball family, Emma.
Saturday, May 7th -- Moved to May 21st due to RAIN
COST: $12.00 per person.
Discounted to $10 if player registers before 4-22.
TEAMS: Minimum of two players and maximum of five per team.
GAME: Seven innings or 30 minutes.
A 20 run rule is in effect after 2 innings; 10-run rule after 4 innings.

AWARDS: Great Way to Have Fun and Support Emma and her Family with their
Fight against Pediatric Bone Cancer.
Emma is a beautiful, bright, outgoing young girl who loves to dance, play softball, swim and play with her friends, family and puppy. Early in August 2015, she was taken to the ER for what was thought to be a sprained or fractured knee. The family received the horrifying news that Emma was suffering from a rare form of bone cancer known as osteosarcoma and that the cancer had spread to four other locations. Since her diagnosis, Emma and her family have spent countless hours, days, and weeks at the hospital, receiving chemotherapy,and fighting illnesses. Sadly, Emma lost her battle in March. The UPGSL will continue with its plans to donate all proceeds from this event to Emma's family.

UP High School Softball Hosts Clinic for ages 7 - 12
The Upper Perkiomen High School Softball Team
-- Lady Indians --
held its first PItching and All-Skills Clinic on
Sunday February 28th for players age 7, 8 , 9 ,10, 11 and 12.
The Clinic was held at the UP High School Turf Field on a beautiful spring day. Thank you to all who attended -- we hope you enjoyed the day as much as us!
This Clinic is a fundraiser for the high school team.

Winter has barely begun and we're already making plans for an exciting 2016 Spring Softball Season. Completion of our new batting cage at Camelot Park is expected by the beginning of April (weather permitting) -- just in time for our Spring season to begin. We are also in the process of planning our 2nd Annual Wiffle Ball Tournament Fundraiser for Saturday May 7th; this fun event is great for players of all ages -- Moms, Dads, Brothers, Sisters -- and is a family-fun and friendly event.
Our 2016 Registration Fees are the same as the last few years. The fee includes a full uniform
for players 10 & under -- shirt, shorts, socks, and visors.
for players 11 & older -- shirt, softball pants, socks, and belt.
Online Registrations will begin Friday January 15th. Just click on Online Forms and look for 2016 Spring Registration Form. Please note we are currently finalizing the online form so it will not be listed.

Please note that the Raffle Fee is $50 PER FAMILY. Families will receive their tickets at registration and can sell to families, friends, and coworkers to recoup their fees. All Raffle ticket stubs must be handed in for the Opening Day drawing.

UPGSL Fall Season Ends with the UP Halloween Bash
The Upper Perk Fall Ball Season celebrated the end of its games in the North Penn Girls Softball Fall League and the Valley Intramural Community League this past week.
After all of the hard work, we celebrated with our annual walk with the Upper Perk Halloween Parade.
Thank you to all of our players, parents, and coaches that came out to enjoy the fun!!
A special thank you to the Bearn family for the design of our float -- the UP Dugouts -- and the trailer and also to Kutztown Auto for the use of the pick up truck.
Remember we still have 2 more weeks of Clinics. So bundle up, gear up, the fun is still on!

The UPGSL Celebrated Halloween in the Valley on Sunday, October 26th during the Annual UP Halloween Parade.
