Club Team vs Rec Team????

One of the questions we receive regularly revolves around club players. Many of our teams have boys or girls who play a full club schedule and a full rec schedule, we encourage it!! It can be done, and it has been done. If it is important, you will find a way...if its not, you will find an excuse.

Players on the club level are preparing themselves for the future by competing on teams that draw attention from colleges.

Players on the rec level are preparing themselves for the future by competing on teams with the girls they will play with in High School.

This is the goal of the URC Lacrosse program. Provide top notch teams that will compete at the highest level in the State of Maryland.

Both situations have benefits for the girls and no coach in our program will punish players for choosing to play both a club and rec schedule. We understand that club coaches often require practice participation and we understand that these practices take priority over the rec practices.

Our goal is to provide an opportunity for the athletes in our community to play together and develop strong relationships with the teammates they will have in High School. The premise of the URC Lacrosse program is to prepare athletes in the Urbana feeder pattern to play at a high level together.

If you are concerned your club schedule will interfere with the rec schedule, please communicate with the coach for that age group and come up with a plan of how conflicts will be handled.
