A message from one of our Maverick family members:
Dear Family and Friends,
On Saturday, October 18th the Allen family and Elliot's Team will once again be walking to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. This year's walk will take place in Boston Massachusetts where we are expecting over 5k participants. As you may know, my father Elliot began raising money for the ADA over 30 years ago. While my sister Brenda, who lost a long battle with Diabetes in 2007, was the primary motivation for his fund raising effort, Elliot's passion to find a cure transcended even his abiding love for her. Upon his passing in 2008 Matt and I have continued his efforts to eradicate the world of this horrible disease.
Over the past ten years, Elliot's Team has been the largest non-corporate fund raiser in New England for the annual Step Out Walk To Stop Diabetes. Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of many of you, we had the honor of being the top national team as we raised nearly $50,000!
So you ask...this year how can I help? Here are a few options:
⋅ Go on-line to our Team page on the Step Out website by clicking this link to make a donation:
· Mail your check made out to the ADA to:
21 Squier Drive
N. Hampton, NH 03862
· Join our team. Raise money and walk with us on October 18th in Boston!
Please help us in continuing the quest that Elliot began over 30 years ago. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated!
All the best,
David and Matt Allen

Maverick Players Invited to USA Baseball National Team Tryouts
A trio of New Hampshire baseball players have been invited to take part in tryouts for USA Baseball National Team in Cary, North Carolina.
Jake Randolph, 15, and Kyle Ball, 15, of Stratham, and Brennen Oxford, 14, of Durham will compete against the best young players from across the country for roster spots on the USA Baseball under (16U) National Team. The tryouts will take place August 21-24 at the National Training Complex in Cary, NC.
All three players are members of the USA Mavericks Baseball club program operating out of USA Training Centers in Newington, New Hampshire. Collectively, the players have been part of the USA Mavericks program for more than ten years.
Before being invited to Cary, players participated in a regional multiple-round tryout. The second round of tryouts took place at Bentley University in Waltham, Mass. on August 4th and 5th. Over 300 players were whittled down to a hand-picked group of 18.
The three New Hampshire players were placed directly in the second round due to a strong recommendation from USA Training Centers owner and USA Mavericks Director of Staff/Player Development Dave Hoyt.
“Two players have four out of the five tools that we look at in baseball,” says Hoyt. “All three are tremendous athletes; the type of kids that separates themselves athletically from their peers. The third player [Randolph] at 6’5” and left-handed, also with an abundance of tools, will be playing outside of the northeast someday. As a pitcher, a position player, or both.”
Randolph and Ball will be entering their sophomore year at Exeter High School this month while Oxford will be entering his first year at Oyster River High School.

All three players hail from the USA Mavericks Baseball club program operating out of USA Training Centers in Newington. Earlier this week it was announced that Maverick players Kyle Ball, Jake Randolph and Brennen Oxford had also been selected to compete for spots on the Under-16 team.

THANKS FOR A GREAT 2014 SEASON
We want to congratulate our entire organization on an incredible 2014 baseball season. This year was a reboot for the Mavericks. We added a lot of new faces on our teams, our coaching staff and throughout the organization.
Every one of our teams in the 11U through 15U age groups played in at least 2 playoff games including our two NEBA teams. Our Blue 11U team won the New England Elite Baseball League Division II championship. Our 13U Elite League team played for the Division II championship.
We had nine players represent the Mavericks in the EBL All-Star games.
Our cumulative record was 114-67-1. Our record vs other New Hampshire programs was 31-6.
Our three High School Showcase teams traveled throughout the Northeast and and multiple players have received attention from college coaches and recruiters from all over the country. If you're a member of these teams it's guaranteed that you'll play the best of the best and be seen by representatives from every college in the country.
The goal of USA Maverick Baseball is to begin your development at a young age, learn the intricacies of baseball as you move up in age levels and then be showcased on the aforementioned 16U and 18U teams.
We look forward to our upcoming tryouts and moving the program to an even higher level in 2015. We're adding coaches and trainers that will help us continue to move forward as the best baseball program on the seacoast and the state of New Hampshire.
Thanks to all of you for your contributions
