Want to join the VCJF Family?
As we come to a close on a very successful football season the Executive Board is tasked with preparing our Organization for next season. Things such as budgets, equipment reconditioning, and a myriad of other “To Do’s” happen between now and next practice season. It is also time to open the organization to others who wish to serve as either a Coach or a Board member. We have many positions open this coming season and want your involvement. This year we will see a shift in Executive positions as many of us have reached our two year term. As with any successful organization it is important to train up from within. It is our goal, just as last year, to have volunteers in the wings learning the roles for future terms. We encourage you, whether a position is open or not, to apply for what you feel led to do! You never know what God has planned.
If you found yourself asking “How can I be part of the Board” now you know. It is as easy as filling out an application found here under "Handouts" in the drop down to the left. You will also see under handouts the job descriptions within our organization. Please complete a Board-Coach’s application, for Board positions please write a brief paragraph that tells us why you feel the position you are applying for is a fit for you. Experience in the position is helpful, but an open heart for this program speaks volumes. Board Applications are due no later than January 31st 2012; Coaches applications are due no later than February 29th 2012.

Equipment Return

Final Request!
This is the final request for equipment returns. Equipment is due by the 13th of January. All cost associated with late return will be charged to your account. Non VCS families will be billed directly and your membership file will be notated for review come next season. Your attention is greatly appreciated!
You can contact Mark Eaton @ 707-481-9808 or eaton@jcis.net to make arrangements to return your equipment in George Allen's office.
Equipment Return Procedures
- We will have your equipment checkout list to check in all equipment. Please keep all equipment to be returned contained in the equipment bag.
- To preserve the equipment that cannot be washed, please air out and spray the bags, shoulder pads, pad sets, and helmets with Lysol or Febreze.
- We ask that you wash all other applicable equipment and clothing.
- For game jerseys, please wash both (do not use dryer, air dry only) and fold them together, with the blue jersey on top. Please fold them and insert them in a one gallon Ziploc bag (or whatever brand you like). Please write on the outside of the plastic ziploc bag with a sharpie: the team, jersey # and size for identification purposes next season.
- Please affix a piece of athletic or masking tape on the outside of the equipment bag and write team (MM, JPW, JRM, MID), jersey # and player's last name.
- DO NOT WRITE ON THE EQUIPMENT BAG WITH A SHARPIE OR OTHER PERMANENT INK PEN.
- Be sure to check your equipment bag side pocket(s) before washing and turning in. We have found some very interesting items in those pockets over the last 5 years!
Again, if you cannot make the event, we will schedule and announce a make up date and time.
