Another successful Opening Day ceremony for the WBA. Mr. Vince DeLuca joined us to throw out the first pitch and was recognized for his many years of commitment to the WBA and baseball community. Smiley and the Pittsburgh Pirate Pierogies entertained the kids. (and many adults) The weather was perfect for the start of the 2013 season.

Kroger Co. Grocery has a great way you can help support WBA

They have a program available in our area called "Krogers Cares".

They will donate 1% of you grocerey purchases to non profit organizations that qualify for the assistance.....and guess who qualifies?!?!

Right, Weirton Baseball Association!!   

You have to register every April using your Krogers card. It is easy and costs you nothing but a few minutes each year.

Pony baseball evaluates baseball bats and asseses their safety for use in youth baseball.
