2025 WWSL SOFTBALL
Wilmington Women's Softball League is looking for adults ages 18+ to join our Women's Softball League this Spring. Games are played on Sunday's at either 5:30pm or 6:45pm at Town Park starting Sunday, May 4th. If you are interested in joining a team please send email to queenbeatrice70@yahoo.com with your first and last name, cell phone number and field position you typically play.
Game Forfeits
It is required to inform Rick Hill of a game forfeit 24 hours in advance of the game start time. Please contact him at 781-608-9769 and the captain of opposing team know ASAP if you are unable to field a team.
Team fee will be three hundred and ninety dollars ($390.00) per season. Forty dollars ($40) of this fee is a "forfeit fee". If your team forfeits less than 4 hours prior to the start of your game time, this fee will be used to reimburse the league for the umpire payment. If your team is subject to a forfeit fee, your team will be expected to repay this amount ($40) to the League Treasurer within 10 days of forfeiture or your team will not be eligible to play subsequent games until fee is paid. If your team does not forfeit any games, this amount will be credited to your team's registration for the next season.
What is WWSL?
This league is intended for recreation play only. Eligible players must be females who currently: Reside in Wilmington and/or; Graduated from Wilmington High School and/or; Graduated from Shawsheen Tech but resided in Wilmington while attending Shawsheen Tech.
Play time is on Sunday evenings between 6:00-9:30pm (1 hour games) for 8 weeks in the summer against WWSL teams. In the fall there are typically only 4 teams. The start time is 2 pm and 3:15 pm. Games are typically played at Town Park for both seasons.
Registration is required. You are not eligible to play unless you fill out a registration form and are assigned to a team. WWSL asks $390 per team. Captain will set the fee for her team. Typically costs $15-$30 per player depending on how many players on your team. Fees cover the costs of equipment, umpires and USSSA league fees. Schedules and Rosters can be found on the WWSL website.
