Information for Parents and Players (Ages 13 thru 18) for Spring 2012 Travel Teams

Teams 13U through 18U

We anticipate players will play fulltime Frederick Babe Ruth League for their respective age groups.

There are four divisions of Frederick Babe Ruth League Baseball

13U only

Last year, 13U schedule was for 18 games (2 games per week on average) starting in early April and ending mid June with games on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

13-15U National (freshman level high school)

Last year, 13-15U National schedule was for 18 games (2 games per week on average) starting in early April and ending mid June with games on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.

13-15U American (JV level high school)

Last year, 13-15U American schedule was for 18 games (3 games per week on average) starting in early May and ending mid June with games on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, there were early conflicts with high school JV schedules.

16-18U (Varsity level high school)

Last year, 16-18U schedule was for 16 games (3 games per week on average) starting in mid May and ending Mid June with games on Wednesday and Sunday double headers, again there were early conflicts with high school JV and Varsity schedules.

For all levels, travel area usually consists primarily of Frederick and Carroll Counties and play is on standard 90 ft diamonds. Other teams that often participate include Taneytown, Brunswick (2 teams), Glade Valley, Frederick (4 teams), Thurmont, and Myersville.

Cost is anticipated to be $200 per player. Please respond with an email, to the addresses below if you are interested in playing in the spring with the player's birth date, or if you wish to be considered as a coach for any of the teams as soon as possible.

Teams are dependent on sufficient participation and available coaching. Winter workouts and clinics will be held after the New Year.
