CHAMPS CROWNED IN WMSHL!!!
#1 seeded Deerfield Varsity capped off their unbeaten season with a hard fought 3-2 victory over #3 seeded PREP (Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Elk Grove and Prospect) in the Varsity Championship Game at West Meadows on May 24th.
#2 seeded Maine JV upset #1 seeded Prairie Ridge JV in the JV Championship Game at West Meadows on May 24th by a final score of 5-4.
Congratulations to all four teams for making it to the championship game and thank you to all the teams that participated in the 2012 West Meadows Spring Hockey League (WMSHL). We hope to see you again next season.

SPRING LEAGUE RULES
-) Games will consist of three (3) 20 minute running time periods; in the last two (2) minutes of the game, stop time will be used if goal differential is two (2) goals or less.
-) All penalties will start at the time of the puck drop after the whistle;
-) Two (2) minute minor penalties and five (5) minute major penalties:
-) Three (3) minute warm-ups;
-) Playoffs ONLY: If tied at the end of regulation time, three (3) man Shoot-out, then SudDen Death Shoot-out in First Place Playoff Games and Championship Game only;
-) Tie-Breaker for divisions:
