WELCOME TO
WEST TAMPA LITTLE LEAGUE

|
We began our charter in 1962. West Tampa Little League has been a solid foundation for our community’s youth. Our programs have achieved great success in the Little League structure sending six (6) teams over the years to represent Tampa, Florida in World Series competition, the highlight being the 1970 Senior World Series Champions, the first Tampa team ever to win a World Series. We also hosted the first Challenger division in District 6 in 1990.
Our ability to realize the value of every child has been the cornerstone of this organization. West Tampa Little League has provided the starting point for neighborhood children to become some of Major League Baseballs present stars, like Luis Gonzalez, Tino Martinez, Fred McGriff, and Dave Magadan. It has also produced two local broadcasting celebrities, Ted Webb and Mark Beiro along with many successful businessmen, lawyers, and doctors. This is why this league has always been so much more than a simply baseball park. It has served as the springboard for many success stories.
