WVLL is pleased to announce that we will be offering the CPR AED class to our coaches, parents, family members and just anyone who needs/ wants to be certified in these very important lifesaving skills.

The class will be conducted by CPR Pro, the same company who did such a great job last year.

When: Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11am
Where: Littel Center, Franklin NJ
Cost is $30 per person payable at the door, this course normally is $65 per person so this is over a 50% discount, so come join us if you can

Contact Debbie Zemietra at zemietra@gmail.com or (973)570-9427 by February 14,2016 so the company can be sure to have enough teaching materials available the day of the course

I hope that the holidays and upcoming new year have been and will be restful, prosperous, and happy times for you all. Family and friends are so important to us in our lives and you, our parents, coaches and players, are our extended WVLL family and we wish nothing but the best for all of you in 2016!!!

Before I get into activities and news tidbits for the upcoming few months, please allow me to express to you all, on behalf of our WVLL Board and Information Team (Brian Westergaard, Kristin Alexander, Melissa Westergaard, John Zemietra, and myself), our sincerest thanks for how you received us newcomers (except for Brian and Melissa, whose extremely valuable guidance and experience steadied us all year) and shared your feedback with us over the course of the 2015 season. We loved every minute of it and we love showing your kids what baseball can be. Baseball is all about fun, teamwork, and friendships............and from what I saw this year, there was a lot of that going on! To all of our league newcomers, I hope that our coaches and players made you feel like you've been with us forever, and that the relationships you developed will continue this year. It was a pleasure having you all as part of what our Board feels was a very successful year for WVLL!!!

Now, onto the fun stuff!!!
Clinics are back!!!!!!
Where: Littell Center
When: Every Sunday morning from January 10th thru April 17th from 8:45am - 11:30pm
Who: Ponies from 8:45-9:45, Tee Ball from 9:45-10:30, and Minors/higher from 10:30-11:30. Everyone is invited!! Bring friends..........maybe they'll want to join the party come spring!!
Cost: Nada, zip, nuttin', gratis, on-the-house

Here's another first for WVLL, and I am really excited about this!!!!! In the offseason, I hooked up with someone who has WVLL (rec softball) roots and who now works front office for the New Jersey Devis!!! We have set up a Wallkill Valley Baseball night with the DEVILS!!!!!!!!!
Where: the Rock (Prudential Center), Newark
When: February 26, 7pm, Friday Night
Cost: about $60/ticket
Seats: Lower bowl, behind the net - great seats!!! I sat in them when we were invited down to The Rock to discuss details about this opportunity!
What's cool about this: We all can get together and the kids can go bonkers in the stands!!! Also, if we sell the 62 tickets that we have booked, we will have achieved a goal that will allow our children to go on the Devils ice after the game and play a 30-minute broomball game on the hockey rink!!! Kids will be supplied with brooms, safety equipment by the staff!! Plus, there will be a photo-op after the broomball game so we can get our group shot on the ice at the Prudential Center!!!

Space is limited to the first 62 ticket reservations. Friends/family outside of WVLL are also invited to join us!!! So, for the hockey fans among us, or the casual hockey fan, or for the folks who just want to come out and have a great time for a great cause...........this is a huge opportunity!!!

To order tickets, you can call or text me at 845-598-7645, or email me at cmorciglio8872@yahoo.com.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the clinics, where we will begin registrations for the spring season in person.

Take Care and Have a Happy New Year,
Chris
