We are very proud of all our football players for taking the Division 3 Championship. Though they could not beat Mountville in the play-off game on 11/7/09 - WE ARE PROUD OF YOU AND HOLD YOUR HEADS UP HIGH!
Also, the Young Knights cheerleaders did very well at the Manheim competition on 11/7/09. Though they did not place as well as we thought they should, the girls walked away with the SPIRIT TROPHY! The spirit award made it all worth while. We showed everybody that the Young Knights has spirit!!!!

BANQUET RSVP - IT'S STILL NOT TOO LATE ...
If you missed the cut-off date for the RSVP for the banquet, please DO NOT panic - there is still time. Please contact Molly Miller at your earliest convenience (no later than 11/8/09) if you still want to come but just forgot to RSVP - we'd like all our participants to be part of this very special time - they've worked so hard and deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments - thank you and hope to see at the banquet on Sunday, November 15, 2009!
Cheerleading Schedules are Now Posted ...
Cheerleading practice schedules can be found by clicking on the CALENDAR tab at the left. Then select which cheerleading schedule, ie., (A SQUAD CHEERLEADING, B SQUAD CHEERLEADING, etc). There is also a CHEERLEADING option under CALENDAR, and this includes all information about cheerleading in general. Calendars were distributed to each squad, so please refer all questions to your coaches and/or coordinators.
For more information on cheerleading, please select the BULLETIN BOARD tab at the left and then select CHEERLEADING. This will be updated weekly and/or daily with important information.

THIS ORGANIZATION NEEDS VOLUNTEERS IN ORDER TO OPERATE - PLEASE VOLUNTEER!
The nomination of new Board Members took place at our January meeting. The next Board Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at 7:30 pm, at the practice field concession stand OR Lower Windsor Township Building. You DO NOT need to be a board member to attend - all our welcome! Please come and support this organization and its participants - we need volunteers!
PLEASE MAKE WELCOME OUR NEWEST BOARD MEMBER - JAMI SILAR. JAMI WAS NOMINATED AT LAST WEEK'S BOARD MEETING AS THE NEW CONCESSIONS COORDINATOR. THANK YOU JAMI FOR SUPPORTING THIS ORGANIZATION AND IT'S PARTICIPANTS - WELCOME!
ABOUT US ...
The Young Knights is a private, non-for-profit organization providing quality football and cheerleading programs to the youth of our community. The organization is funded by private donations and fundraising by its participants. All of it's board members and coaches are volunteers. Board Members are selected each year at the board meetings (which are held every month) and make this organization run as smoothly as possible. We promote good sportsmanship from our participants, as well as spectators. This is strictly for the betterment of our youth and the sports in which they participate. If anyone is interested in helping make this organization better, please come to the board meetings and become involved - GO YOUNG KNIGHTS!
