DUE TO THE WEATHER FORECAST OF SIGNIFICANT SNOW FALL, THE YOUNG KNIGHTS BOARD MEETING SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10TH HAS BEEN CANCELLED. OUR NEXT MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17TH, SAME PLACE AND TIME. SEE YOU THERE!

New participants MUST bring a COPY of their birth certificate. Both parent and child must be present to sign paperwork.
Registration Fees:
1st Child - $75
2nd Child - $70
3rd Child - FREE
There is a mandatory fundraiser upon registration for a fee of $50 per family.
We do offer payment plans with a $50 deposit and require that all registration fees be paid in full by uniform hand-out/physical date. This date has not been set yet, but traditionally is the first or second Saturday in August. This date will be posted at a later time.
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE A PHYSICAL EXAMINATION IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE - NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!
Physical Exams are provided at no charge for all YK participants. If you cannot make the physical date, then we suggest you make other arrangements with your child's doctor. NO PHYSICAL - NO PLAY - NO EXCEPTIONS!

Thank you to our participants, coaches, parents, and all our volunteers for a successful season. We wish our graduating football players and cheerleaders the very best as they venture on to bigger and better things. We hope they take what they have learned from their Young Knights years and carry that on to their next step! Their are many people who contribute to this organization, from the coaches, to the board, to the players and cheerleaders, to the people who help out where they can, and even behind-the-scenes. THANK YOU TO ALL! For those eligible to return next year, we hope that you will return ready for yet another successful season!

We are actively seeking NEW FACES for Board Members for the 2010 Season......
THIS ORGANIZATION NEEDS VOLUNTEERS IN ORDER TO OPERATE - PLEASE VOLUNTEER!
The nomination of new Board Members took place at our January 2010 meeting. Please see contact information tab for the officers. The next Board Meeting is scheduled for WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17, at 7:00 pm, at the Library at Eastern York High School. You DO NOT need to be a board member to attend - all our welcome! Please come and support this organization and its participants - WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
THERE ARE AVAILABLE OPENINGS ON THE YOUNG KNIGHTS BOARD FOR A "GAME DAY COORDINATOR" AND "ASSISTANT ATHELETIC DIRECTOR". THIS ORGANIZATION NEEDS PARENTS TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND BE ABLE TO CARRY ON THE TORCH TO THE NEXT LEVEL IF THIS ORGANIZATION IS GOING TO KEEP MOVING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. PLEASE SEE ANY CURRENT BOARD MEMBER FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON ANY OF THESE POSITIONS. PLEASE GET INVOLVED!
ABOUT US ...
The Young Knights is a private, non-for-profit organization providing quality football and cheerleading programs to the youth of our community. The organization is funded by private donations and fundraising by its participants. All of it's board members and coaches are volunteers. Board Members are selected each year at the board meetings (which are held every month) and make this organization run as smoothly as possible. We promote good sportsmanship from our participants, as well as spectators. This is strictly for the betterment of our youth and the sports in which they participate. If anyone is interested in helping make this organization better, please come to the board meetings and become involved - GO YOUNG KNIGHTS!
