Jason Purslow

#2 - 3B, OF (profile)

Jason was a part-time player during the first few years after the team’s formation, playing in 7 games over a three-year span that included the 1996, 1997 and 1998 seasons. His participation was limited due to other family and social commitments, however, the few appearances he made with the team were important ones.

His participation was vital in allowing the taxmen to field a team in the annual Easter Seals Softball Weekend in 1996 and 1998, and during the opening week of the 1997 season, Jason went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs and a double in a DRS victory over the Bisons.

In what would be his final game played with the taxmen (unless he ever chooses to come out and lace up the cleats one last time) Jason made it to the Webster Correctional Facility in his hometown of Cheshire. There, he played third base, batted leadoff, and paced the offense by going 3 for 3 and gapping an RBI-triple in a win over the Department of Corrections.
