Janet joined the team as part-time player during the 1999 season shortly after being hired by the agency. At the time, she was being trained by Scott Deslaurier, who wasted no time recruiting her to come out to the softball diamond and adding her name to the DRS roster.

With interests that lie with basketball and volleyball, Janet learned to play softball in the heat of battle during actual games, and usually took up position behind the plate as a catcher.

Janet’s playing career was cut short as night classes and a promotion to another work unit forced her to move on to bigger and better things.
