Richie is entering his 9th overall season as varsity serving as assistant coach to Tom Hoffman on the Waynesboro Indian High School Varsity club. Richie is also entering his 1st season as the Head Junior Varsity coach. In 2013, he served as the Middle School Junior Varsity coach and served as head coach for the 6th grade travel team in 07/08 that played in Gettysburg as well as played in several tournaments. In addition to basketball, Richie also active in the Waynesboro Youth league. Holding positions of head coach for the Waynesboro Pony A team, Grove-Bowersox, and Cal Ripken tournament teams and has served as manager for the 2 8 & Under tournament teams and the 2009 10 & Under team that qualified for states. Richie, along with Tom, Ryan Fettrhoff and Judy Reitz were instrumental in starting the Waynesboro Basketball Association (WBA) in 2008 due to a desire to raise the Waynesboro Basketball program to new heights - Go Pride.
