Brent Owens

Head Coach

Owens has playing/coaching experience at the high school, college, and semi-pro levels. He is a former Taylor player who earned All-MIC honors from 1986-88 under former Hall of Fame coach George Phares. He then played for National Ranked Anderson University in 1989 & 1990. He finished his college career at Indiana Wesleyan University in 1991 and 1992 where he was All-Conference and Team MVP for the 1992 IWU Wildcats. He also collected over 500 hits while playing semi-pro baseball for the Kokomo CFD Saints from 1989-2002 and in 2012 got inducted to the National Semi-Pro Baseball Hall of Fame. He finished his career by playing for the Kokomo CFD Saints fastpitch team from 2004-2010. That team finished with 167 Wins against 19 Losses. They won State in 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2010. They were State Runner-Ups in 2004, 2007, and 2009. In 2008, that team won the ASA "B" Nationals in McAllen, TX and then finished in the Top 5 of the ASA "A" Nationals in 2009 and 2010.
