Nathan Raffle

Junior Varsity Head Coach and Catching Coordinator

Nathan Raffle is a native of Ruffsdale, PA, He attended Yough High School until his senior year, at which time he transferred to Greensburg Central Catholic. In high school he was a 4-year varsity starter as a catcher, and was a leader on GCC’s 2006 playoff team.

After high school Nate played junior college baseball at Garrett Community College; McHenry, MD and at Young Harris College in Georgia. After his JC career, he continued his education at Penn State Greater Allegheny where he studied Information Science and Technology while he continued playing baseball. During his summers while in college, he played in the New York Collegiate League for the Sherill Silversmiths.

It was from there that he signed a free agent contract to play professionally in the Atlanta Braves organization. During his professional career, he played winter baseball in the Arizona Winter League for Team Canada.

Since his playing career ended, he has coached youth league baseball at various levels.

Presently, Nate is employed by the Raffle Construction and Excavating Company, a family owned business, as a foreman/operator.

Nate is BVA's Junior Varsity Head Coach and Catching Coordinator.
