Dexter Turner
President / 11th/12th Head Coach (Pride)
Dexter Turner is a native of Loudoun County, where he started playing basketball through Parks and Recreations Central Loudoun Basketball League at the age of 12 y.o. Through hard work and discipline, Dexter developed a “passion” for the game and was eager to play at a higher competitive level. Dexter is a graduate of Loudoun County High School class of 1995, where he played basketball all 4 years. During this time Dexter also took his love of the game to a more advanced level, by earning a spot on the Leesburg Basketball Club team, which was and still currently a Loudoun County based AAU organization travel team, where he continued to play for 3 years (1992-1995). Playing at a high intense competitive level, Dexter experienced playing against power house teams and players such as Allen Iverson, Joe Smith and Tony Rutland, just to name a few.
Since then, Dexter has become involved in the Leesburg community volunteering as a coach both head and assistant for youth organizations such as the Loudoun County Youth Soccer Association, Central Loudoun Little League, Central Loudoun Youth Football League and Central Loudoun Basketball League, where he got to be known as “Coach Dex”. As he became more involved in the Amateur Athletic Union, Dexter served as an assistant coach for 2 years, and head coach for 1 year, before introducing Loudoun Xtreme Basketball Club to the Loudoun Counties AAU basketball circuit in fall of 2010. Dexter coaches and will continue to coach with the same passion and intense love for the game of basketball to make an impact on his players life and teach them that through hard work, discipline and teamwork, they can be as great as they want to be.
